You non Braves fans say what you want but when it comes time to go they'll be there.....They'll be ready to play when it matters...They've not won 13 straight division titles by lucking into them! GO BRAVES!!!!!

Just keep remembering U-T - You have to make the playoffs to be able to choke in the playoffs.

Braves better watch out for injuries in the 2nd half. Have a bad feeling about this year for some reason

At one point a couple of weeks ago the Braves had 10rookies on the 25 man roster including 3 in the starting rotation!?!? How much worse could it possibly get?

I don't know but rookies don't tend to be the most consistent players in the 2nd halves

Which is why it's very timely that Hampton, Hudson and Chipper all came back this week.

I think the Nationals are a flash in the pan. No way they can keep winning all those 1 run games. They have given up more runs than they have scored . . . Now THAT'S a recipe for disaster in the 2nd half.

...and right on cue the Braves sweep the Nats with 3 straight 1 run wins. The Nats are taking on water.

Watch as the NL East once again falls into the Braves' laps. Or maybe the Mets will finally make a run?

The Braves might have a chance, but I think this is the Mets year. They have everything in place to have a real good season & not only win, but make it deep in the playoffs.

I actually think the Braves' amazing run will probably end this year, without Mazzone they can't pull off the "do more with less" from pitchers... what he did with Sosa last year was unbelieveable.

Wrong year

Just keep bumping this thread . . . I'm sure eventually you'll be right.

Of course, you could have started this thread 15 years ago.

This could be a year where the East winner wins like 84 or 85 games. You know the Phillies or Mets aren't gonna amount to anything, and the Braves will miss Mazzone...

Losing Mazzone will definitely be a blow, but I wouldn't say his staffs the last couple of years have exactly been lighting it up the way they did in the 90s.

They've still managed to keep it together enough to win the division though. Can't underestimate Bobby Cox either. The pitching coach didn't have much to do with all those rookies out on the field looking like they've been around a few years.

It's ALL about Cox. That guy flat out knows what buttons to push. Nobody gets more from less.
