Kansas will not come close to winning the big 12, they may finish 3rd, but most likely 4th behind Oklahoma, Texas and Baylor
This statement is the exact reason why KU will win both the Big XII and the Big XII tournament. KU will most certainly be young, but it will be young talent (with the exception of Collins who will have the ball in his hands every play).

The Big XII North is extremely light this year (no Michael Beasley at KSU). OU, Texas, and Baylor are all going to play better than KU until about mid February (see Bill Self coached teams). However, OU, Texas, and Baylor all have to play each other twice, KU only has to play each of them once. Neither of those three schools are near the caliber that both KU and Texas were last year, and they are going to knock each other out of the race in the Big XII.

They have to go to Oklahoma and Baylor, i doubt they beat Texas, and i give them probably o lets say 3 more league losses, thats 4 or 5 losses. None of those 3 will lose more than 3 or 4 league games.. especially Ok they may not lose more than 2

Three more league losses??? Are they going to lose twice to Mizzou??? And the other Big XII North loss will be who? Iowa State, Nebraska, KSU, or Colorado???

That statement was severely out of touch with the reality of the Big XII North this coming year.

They also have the privilege of playing OU during the last week of February and Texas, at home, the very last game of the regular season.

Feel free to PM me and we can negotiate a wager on this. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,600 would be nice.

I dont have 5600 dollars to wage and im also not much of a gambler and i would never bet any money anyway on something i cant control, but how about if that does end up being the case we'll say i win and if it doesnt then we'll say you win.. k?

I would much rather take home an extra month's pay. However, I guess I can live with knowing that unless Bill Self lays an egg this year, that Collins, Aldrich, and the Morris brothers will bring home another KU Big XII Championship and Big XII Tournament Championship in 2008-2009.

now Kansas winning the Big 12 title is a tempting one... if i were a gambling man i would definitely take you up on that one.. but im not so i wont.. i wish i could make 67,000 a year.. could u hook me up with a job when i graduate? lol

The only way Kansas loses at Colorado is if the team bus gets stuck in snow and the cheerleaders have to play in their place. The Buffs were terrible last year and lost their only two legitimate offensive threats. They'll be wretched.

thats why i said they'll have 4 or 5 losses, there seems to always be that game that a young team loses to on the road that theyre not supposed to...

Ok.. its my fault i didnt explain myself, ill go into detail.. i said in a previous post that they could have 4 or 5 losses, the 5 losses that i listed there are the games that i feel that they have a good chance of losing... 4 of them for sure (OK, Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech) and 1 more (Colorado) that i also believe they will lose because that is the game im picking to be an 'upset'... On the other hand im still giving them to win maybe 1 or 2 of the 4 i believe they will lose for sure and also beating colorado but losing to the possible (Mizzou, A&M) which is where i came up with 4 or 5.. is that clear enough?

What in the world makes you think Texas Tech is going to be any good?

It is going to be a pretty tough rebuilding year. They are probably only going to win the Big XII, the Big XII Tournament, and make the Sweet 16.

UT should match up very well against KU on Jan. 3. Unfortunately, Phog Allen Fieldhouse is a pretty tough place to play.

I will most certainly be there.

Well, I think you guys will have a good year, I know you guys have a hell of a coach. I still want a rematch from last year.:)

I dont think they will have a good season or anything but i believe they will beat KU in Lubbock with two of their leading scorers returning and the addition of freshman Corbin Ray.. I believe Tyree Graham will step up big this year too

Uh, no. If you look on the floor this year and Corbin Ray is playing significant minutes, you can rest assured Tech stinks.

From what i understand Ray is an inside out threat and can stroke the 3.. not that Tech has many threats on the offensive end anyway outside of Voskuil and Roberson
