The Official Dale Earnhardt Jr. Thread

Words from Dale Jr:

"I thought I was going to end the winless streak tonight and celebrate and be happy. We'll have to keep running good like we are and try somewhere else."

You gotta feel for the guy for the race to end the way it did.

Go to the 1:31 mark in the video and watch the wreck in slow mo. I see Kyle's wheels cut to the right more than once. He moved up deliberately. He has a lot of Class.

I know what you're saying. I saw the sad, dejected look on Jr's face. He should have hunted down Shrub and beat the daylights out of him. This is how the old school drivers settled their disputes. Kyle Busch is a dangerous punk whose dirty driving is made even worse by his blatant arrogance. If NASCAR does not keep Shrub in line,I shudder thinking what might happen at a future race.

That's what I think happened. I don't think he was really trying to wreck him, but once it started it looked like he wanted to make sure he punted him out of the way.

yea exactly, cause if shrub didn't he would of wrecked with jr, so in other words shrub saved his ass by punting jr.

I couldn't wait to see some of the posts on here after I saw the wreck. I'm no Busch fan, but I don't think it was dirty either... stuff happens, there's just a bigger uproar cause of who was involved. It certainly did nothing to help Busch's rep.

This is my honest opinion(keep in mind that I hate Busch more than anyone in the world and that Jr's my 2nd favorite driver). It was hard racing. Busch had more room at the bottom but in typical Kyle Busch style he had to go the easy route and take Jr out. If they were in opposite positons Jr would have backed out and waited until the next turn. To be honest though I hope someone slaps the **** out of Busch one day.
I mean seriously, last night he goes up and tries to start something with Steve Wallace while Wallace is still STRAPPED IN THE CAR. Then when Wallace grabs his helmet Busch goes Manu Ginobli on us and flops 10 feet like he'd just been shot. He stood there a second and as soon as he knew that enough people were around that would stop any physical altercation happening he started acting like he was going to fight Wallace. Then tonight he gets pissed when Jr's crewmen come over to his pit box? Which way is it Kyle???
Anyway Busch is lucky in the sense that he wrecked Jr. The normal Nascar driver would have put Busch in his place. In another way though the whole Jr fanbase(90% of Nascar) is going to be booing him like no other. Hamlin should face some sort of reprimand.
He intentionally stopped on the track to bring out a caution that would benefit both he and his teammate.(Let me remind everyone before Doozer brings it up that Jr. also intentionally wrecked himself a couple of years ago at Bristiol to stay on the lead lap, but JR was also penalized). Busch should also be penalized, not for this incident, but for the last 50 he's been involved in. Someone needs to send him a message. At least Sr. had respect from everyone in the garage area and was actually humble. Busch is not humble at all. I hate him and he makes Pablo Wrecko look like a Saint. You know what they say about Karma Kyle. GET READY YOUR'S IS COMING!!!

i would be willing to bet that exactly 0 people read this.

what was the whole thing with jr and gordon at dega?

Gordon was upset that Junior didn't go with him with 25 laps to go. Junior's trying to win a race, not help Gordon win. Gordon said some things about Junior on the radio, and the media was all over that. Wasn't a huge deal.

wow. the Jr homers are in full effect tonight.

get over it.

Yeah, the response is biased and predictable, but you can hardly blame them for being a little upset. Some screwy things had to happen for Jr not to win, and they did.

I blaim hamlin which that only goes so far cause someone made the call for hamlin to park his car on the track. He really isn't a team player. Jr. was gaining 1-2ths of a sec. a lap on busch before hamlins crap.In this day and age of 3 and 4 car teams I see no reason why nascar can't suspend hamlin for his bull.

I'd be on here making smart aleck comments too if my driver finished 41st last night and hasn't even contended for a win this year except maybe once.....I've not got anything against Kyle Busch, I've never liked him I was mad last night but Jr. handled that with a lot more class than Kyle did....But hey that's fine, somebody will teach Kyle his lesson later this year, Jr. will get a win soon....It's only a matter of time he's been too close for it not to happen, I'm happy he's running great so far this year I didn't expect him to come out of the gate as good as he has so I'm very happy.....Just keep givin em hell Jr. you'll get it soon enough!!!!!

yeah, i guess maybe i'd be a little pissed too if my driver hasn't even so much as sniffed a victory lane in two years.

or not even come close to a championship.

Kyle Busch was going to pass thim if they didn't get into each other.

therefore, the issue they have with him is pointless.

Yeah because JR has NEVER been in position to win a title. He's one Carl Edwards stupid move and one 4 letter word away from having an excellent shot at winning a title.

Not really, as the run went on so did Jr. Busch faded. If you're so certain KB would have passed him them how come Busch didn't pass him the last run. He ran beside him for 10 laps before JR finally pulled away. You're just a disgruntled Kurt Busch fan. I'm sorry your driver sucks.
