Then why hasn't K advocated for not playing these games every year so his kids could be home for Christmas instead playing those cupcakes like that?

Probably because they just can’t go home like normal because of quarantine rules.

Full disclosure for @RDU VOL#14...

I am a huge Cole Anthony fan, seeing as how he plays for my hometown perennial lottery participant and two-time Eastern Conference Champion Orlando Magic.

I’ll enjoy watching him play out his rookie contract in Orlando, then get traded to a playoff contender as his game progresses to the next level.

I have no problem with Cole Anthony. He was a very good player on a really bad team. What’s your connection with him?

I miss mid the 90s Magic. As a 12/13 year old it didn’t get much cooler than Penny and Shaq. Then Nick Anderson forgot how to shoot FT’s and it all came crashing down .

all I know is that UNC killed my alma mater's chances at a two trips to the final four
that my boss in the triangle urged me to live in durham
that most members of the media were UNC grads
that my wife worked in the duke library while she was carrying our unborn
that i liked john feinstein while he wrote for the chronicle
that dean smith would bum smokes
that i was usually assigned to cover duke and state
that my son had a wonderful time in duke's summer programs
that his most prized bball card was Laettner's rookie card
that i didn't feel that comfortable vistiing duke while looking at colleges
that i get sick of dickie's love for these guys
that bilas can rub me the wrong way
that the cameron crazies are quite irritating
that coach k can be holier than thou
that sometimes i pull for roy
that i really love good basketball

I’m with you on a lot of those, but easy does it Ardent. One cannot speak even of the smallest disparaging remarks of the Dirtless Man without consequence. Didn’t you know Dean could do no wrong?

How was Durham for you?

the dirtless one liked Salems but would bum a Marlboro Red
chapel hill music scene > durham's
duke players actually spoke their minds
norm sloan hated UNC j-school grads
the road to raleigh was a speed trap
that reporters wouldve looked illiterate had there not been a save/get key when coach k arrived

loved the triangle much more than where we live now ... we first lived in apt in walking distance of wallace wade, then bought home under constuction near northern hs .... we were limited in what we could do there since our son was 4 when i found myself taking a job in bamaland

The sky is the limit for Day’Ron Sharpe. Needs a little more polish, but a great passer already and seems to have a high basketball IQ.

What time period was that? I lived in Durham, NC and graduated from Northern HS (a long time ago).

Neither Duke nor UNC are particularly good this year, but I would give a slight edge to UNC over Duke this year due to their big men. Both teams are young and are playing sloppy basketball. I don't know that I've seen a Duke team this bad since the early 80's (other than when Coach K was out for his surgery, and I don't actually count that period as a true Duke team).

They should improve by the end of the season (assuming the season continues). I agree with RDU's assessment though. I would assume at this point that both of these teams would be relatively early exits from the NCAA tournament. I would likely predict second or third round exits for both teams.

The losses to MICH ST and Illinois are not bad at all both are good teams. I always enjoy the UNC & Duke rivalry.

Mich St just lost (79-65) to one of the three worst teams in the BIG...Northwestern.

Why are Carolina and State playing tonight? Weird. I’m sure UNC will roll like they always do against State.
