After three years and we barely beat Troy......how can anyone be pleased after the horrible performance/coaching/playcalling today.

Just hiring him? Its the third year! In case you haven't noticed, we struggled with Akron and Troy, lost to UK, lost to msu. Youre an idiot.

Hahahahaha. I guess UK last year was a "best team in the SEC". I hope you keep this up even if we lose any of the next 3 games because if we play like we did today, Vanderbilt and Missouri will beat us.

I was not talking about troy. We beat them.

I was talking about bama, fl, sc, ga. We were close on them, but lost. I don't think that warrants firing the coach that we just hired.

This is UT. We hvae a tradition here of keeping our coaches for a long time and it has payed off.

UT is one of the most successful football programs in colege football of all time. We didn't get that way by firing every coach.

If we stick with the program, UT will be as good as bama and LSU within the next few seasons.

Mark my words.

I absolutely noticed, and it breaks my heart to see the Vols lose.

That said, it takes more than 3 years to become the elite SEC team. I don't see how anyone could do what people expect the coach to do. Jesus man.

It is evident that Sal was not prepared for this position, that being said, all of this can be fixed next year. UT's DBs are young and not capable of handling the 3-4 which requires more than one season to grasp. Injuries and off the field issues has really hurt our Safties and DBs. I think Dooley would admit, these results were never imagined and going to the 3-4 might have been his biggest mistake. Droped passes, fumbles, missed tackeles are not this coaching staff's problem, they focused on fundamentals Spring, Summer and Fall...I beleive the back half of UT's defense..........is really bad.....DUH. However, it is not for lack of effort from Sal and Derrick to try and get these players ready to play the 2nd hardest schedule in the NCAA. Call it bad luck....whatever, Dooley is the right guy his is up against a strong wind, in the mud, going up hill with this team and that is just what it is, nothing more.

Go Vols!!

You mean not struggle against Troy on homecoming, lose to Kentucky, and show little to no progression in three seasons. Your right that is asking too much. :ermm:

Elite? We're not even mediocre. Dooleys 3 years here have been disastrous.

And if we keep this coaching staff for a long time, we will start a tradition of losing..

Yeah it's good to keep great coaches around for a long time, but Dooley is no such thing..

The idea that we will be as good as Bama and LSU in just a few years with Dooley at the helm is extremely laughable.

Wake up and smell the coffee, Dools is done and rightfully so!
