We're going with a gang Friday night vs Awbarn. Friday forecast is 71 and sunny. A crowd of 2500-3000 would be awesome.

Hey, even if you're not yet 100% sold on UT baseball there is an excellent chance you'll see Butch Jones. (shameless use of CBJ, but wth - Go Vols!)

So what do yall expect for this team?

UT was 9-19 in the SEC in 2013, obtaining a .500 record this year is doable and would probably put us in 6-8 place in the SEC.

Could it be better than .500, yes
Could it be worse than .500, yes

I agree with OldTimer. Before the season I think most expected we'd be somewhere around.500 and that would be enough to get to Hoover. This week we go on the road to SC, one of the SEC elite teams. It will be the first time this season we face elite pitching in every game.

Our pitching staff has given up more than 4 runs only 5 times in 23 games. That's a pleasant surprise. Despite not hitting the ball very well and stranding runners, we've been in these games for the most part and it's largely due to the pitching and some absolutely fantastic defense. If we can start hitting some of this elite pitching...who knows where we might end up.

In general, as a UT sports fan, what a weekend this is going to be...I hope we'll all be in a good mood on Monday. :)
