2024 National Champions: A Record-Setting Season
Tennessee reached the mountain top in 2024, defeating Texas A&M in the Men's College World Series Finals. Led by National Coach of the Year Tony Vitello, the Volunteers became the first SEC team to ever win 60 games in a season, finishing with an incredible 60-13 overall record. UT also became just the fourth program in history to win the SEC regular season crown, the SEC Tournament title and the National Championship in the same year, cementing itself as one of the greatest college baseball teams ever.

Success at Home in Season Openers
The Vols start their season at home for the first time since 2022 after opening the year at neutral site tournaments in 2023 and 2024. Under Vitello, UT is 3-1 in home season openers and has a combined 10-2 record in home series on opening weekend, including three consecutive series sweeps (2019, 2020, 2022).

Decade of the Vols
Since the start of the 2020 season, no team in college baseball has won more games and posted a higher winning percentage than Tennessee. UT's 226 victories and .779 winning percentage both rank No. 1 in the nation over the past five seasons.

NCAA Division I Leaders by Winning Pct (Since 2020)
1. Tennessee - .779 (226-64)
2. Arkansas - .727 (194073)
3. UC Santa Barbara - .717 (177-70)
4. East Carolina - .715 (196-78)
5. Dallas Baptist - .698 (179-77-1)

Preseason Polling
Tennessee enters the 2025 season as a consensus top-five team in the national rankings:
D1Baseball (#4) • USA Today (#2) • NCBWA (#2) • Baseball America (#3) • Perfect Game (#5)

Including end of season rankings, the Vols have been ranked in at least one poll for 80 consecutive weeks. UT has earned preseason top 25 rankings in each of the past five seasons after going 13 consecutive years without being ranked in the preseason polls.

Everyone gets to go to Hoover in 2025.
If everyone gets to Hoover, then no one really gets to Hoover.

I think we're close to seeing the major conference tourney's go away. I would rather see an extra week of games and get ready for the post season instead of giving that god forsaken state ANY of my money.
