Even the cats know that color is horrific...View attachment 722502
Cats going after Hofstra like a true Vol!
I’m giving him some grace on that as he’s NEVER played 1B before and just got his first ever 1B glove a few days ago. He’s barely practiced at 1B as he’s a 3B. He’s looked above serviceable at 3B before he tweaked his arm. (He’s only at 1B to save his arm).Fischer looking like a DH. Every play at 1B looks like an adventure.
Both he and the 2B are gamers. The rest of the team (granted they’ve had zero time outdoors due to being located in Long Island) looked like the Bad News Bears. Iona will beat them. They are awful. With all due respect to Hofstra, I wonder if a worse team has played in the last 5 years at LNS.Tyler Cox, just transferred from WVU. Was supposed to play for Forest City last summer but got hurt near end of regular season.
Burke had 11 errors and a .976 at 1B his sophomore year.Yes, I never held my breath with Luc or Blake at 1B. Fischer was second on the team at Ole Miss with 9 errors and a .908 fielding percentage.
I personally didn’t think they were Iona bad. Both he and the 2B are gamers. Good start to the season, excited to see how this team plays against better competition. Probably will not see that til Houston tournament...
No. Stone Lawless and Cannon Peebles have solid arms. Staff doesn’t want or teach slide steps with runners on base. They want a repeatable delivery from the stretch, so not to put additional strain and stress on arms and shoulders (by changing delivery with runners on base). Is anyone concerned about catchers arm? only watched G3.
know it isn't fair to compare to last years C. i'm just talking about the C's arm, not side steps or pitching from the stretch. i know those are factors, but if C has a noodle none of that matters as much.No. Stone Lawless and Cannon Peebles have solid arms. No noodle arms anywhere on TN‘s roster. At C, both Lawless and Peebles have strong arms. Peebles is recovering from a slight arm injury but caught on Sat and an inning or so today.know it isn't fair to compare to last years C. i'm just talking about the C's arm, not side steps or pitching from the stretch. i know those are factors, but if C has a noodle none of that matters as much.
