This is the problem with all events now. Need to kill this secondary market as it is just BS. Its nothing but inflationary crap that adds no value to our society. Should not be allowed to sell for more than face value and make it a felony.
Define face value…it ain’t what’s printed on the face of the ticket if you’re a season ticket holder who had to pay a crap load of money for the right to buy the ticket.

As a season ticket holder I want to recoup some of that ”Right to Buy” money that really is part of the ticket cost If I have to sell because I can’t make the game.

The real answer is for the school to crack down on those reselling most of their tickets. They can get that info if they really want.

Exactly, there are too many buying tickets with no intention of ever attending the event but just to resell for the most $$ they can get. I know several "resellers" that supplement their income just on UT events alone. In the neighborhood of $10-$15K annually. It is ridiculous.

Not on baseball tickets. If you haven’t been in for 5+ years you’re not just getting in. I can’t even move my seats let alone buy more.

I have seen someone different next to me at every game I’ve been to so far this season.

They must be selling on a different platform. I know the school monitors the activity on Ticketmaster accounts.

As far as tickets, prices, donations, resale’s, none of that chaps my a$$…coming on here and complaining that ADDW is taking away the food in the MVP room next year…if you can afford the tickets, you can afford the food. THAT chaps my…
It’s just a further monetizing of EVERYTHING, there are no breaks anymore. I used to park in the gravel lot directly behind RF as it was first come first serve, now it’s a permit only lot. I transitioned to the first come first serve CSX lot, now it’s a permit only lot. Thankfully there are still some free lots/garages around but they’re not making things easy by any means.

I get that. I used to park in the same gravel lot(behind the score board), and we could just walk up and get a couple tix on a Tuesday. Those days are gone, in the near term anyway.

I, personally, don’t think selling ALL the tickets prior to the season is the best way, but a bird in hand and all…that’s understandable. Complaining about free food and having a parking pass seems a bit over the top.

Go to pay for NIL somehow. Sure college athletics makes a lot money, but they also spent a lot of money too. Many people do not realize revenue and profit are two very different things

Yep. I sent a pretty terse email to Danny and a couple others up there to "be very careful" about this leaps in ticket pricing, AND taking away the food from the MVP folks. You guys have not been around for 50 years like I have. The first rough season and watch as half the MVP seats and other higher priced seats go unsold. I've lived it. Anyway, we will see what happens if that will help change somebody's mind. The cost of the food in the MVP room btw is less than $100k/yr. The new pricing of MVP seats brings in over $1.3M. College sports in general has lost its collective mind.
