my guess is alternative timeline desmond figures out that locke becomes a vessel for the MIB on the island.......which would make sense as to why he hit locke with the car to try and stop it from happening.

Well, we at least learned what the "whispers" have been.

Interesting that Desmond may be functioning as some sort of "mediator" now between the real world and the island.

What is everyone's take on Michael?

my guess is alternative timeline desmond figures out that locke becomes a vessel for the MIB on the island.......which would make sense as to why he hit locke with the car to try and stop it from happening.

Or he was trying to send him to the hospital so that he can connect him with Jack in the alt. These are the only two things I can think of that would cause him to do that.

One more thing, Desmond had flashes from a near death experience and an MRI machine. Maybe he is trying to do the same thing with Locke.
