Things may have changed or not progressed or he may have been BS’ing me all together but he told me Sunday after the AU game the plan was to be back this weekend. He was signing a ball for my son and I asked how he was recovering, he said great and I asked if he expected to be out Tuesday and back for the weekend and he said that’s the plan. Maybe a head fake for LSU so they’re not expecting the Bargo effect lol.

Cool moment for your son. I think Billy wants to play for sure. I just don’t think CTV believes he’s ready just yet. I think we will see Bargo all weekend at 3rd.

He’s throwing but not to live hitters yet. I’m guessing we won’t see him until May based on what CTV has been saying in interviews. CTV hasn’t given any specific dates but insinuated that AJ was still several weeks from returning on the mound.

Man, it would’ve been nice to pull that one off, wouldn’t it? At one point it looked like we had him. Adding Holman to this staff would do wonders for both the starting staff and the bullpen (knocks Causey back to the pen where he is best suited).

Yep, I do think LSU will have the "desperate, nothing to lose" attitude this weekend. We swept Vandy in 2023 at home and in 2022 on the road.

I love Amick, but Bargo has filled his shoes big time. Bargo has turned out to be quite the unexpected “get” from the portal.

I just hope he gets to pitch and get this record breaking out-of-the-way and an added bonus. Most of our family will be there Friday night.
If not, I have to scramble to find tickets for Saturday.

Despite being in separate divisions, the Vols and Tigers have become familiar foes in recent years, having faced off 11 times over the past three seasons with five of those meetings coming in the postseason, including a pair of games in last year's College World Series. Burke Breaking Records
Junior slugger Blake Burke broke Luc Lipcius' Tennessee career home run record last weekend with a solo blast in Saturday's win at Auburn, giving him 41 for his career. Burke is also in pursuit of the program record for the longest hitting streak, as he enters the weekend with a base knock in 23 consecutive games, four shy of Condredge Holloway's record of 27 straight that was set back in 1975.

Sundays Are for the Vols
All four of the Tennessee's SEC series so far this season have come down to a Sunday rubber game. The Vols are 3-1 in those games, having won three consecutive decisive game threes in each of the past three weekends against the likes of No. 18 Ole Miss, No. 22 Georgia and Auburn.
