The Official make fun of the Cleveland Browns Thread

Kizer is shocking everyone. He's better then you think. He's the youngest QB in the league, but he can wing a ball like kurt warner... seriously. You haven't seen anybody flick a ball like this in a long time.

Weren't you going to stop supporting the Browns when they drafted him?

No that was Garrett, but I hated the Kizer pick up too. I expected him to be another bust, but the kid is surprising everyone. He can throw ... and I mean he can really throw a football. All the throws. He has that Kurt Warner, Tony Romo style. It's a very unconventional throw, but it really flies.

Interesting but pathetic bit of trivia. Ben Roethlisberger is now the winningist QB in the history the Cleveland Browns' First Energy Field. No other QB including any Browns can match his 11 victories since the stadium opened in 1999. And that the Browns passed over Roethlisberger in 2004 draft to take Kellen Winslow Jr. just adds to it.

That's what you get for listening to ESPN and their draft "experts". Same thing is going to happen this year taking Garrett 1.

You want to enter the twilight zone go check into the Cleveland Browns crowd.

Word for word, spittle for spittle, exact replicas of the VOLS fan base. I swear the same fans on the VOLS media are the guys on the Browns media. Browns radio stations and online media now questioning coach Jackson for his play calling and game management. Calling him a 3 out of a 1-10 scale, comparing him to other coaches and calling for his firing. I can't escape the insanity.

Garrett debut this week at home against the Jets? I would like to see him play.

I don't know that he is a game-changer from day one, but hopefully will help put the Browns on the map over the next couple of years. The Browns aren't my team but I hate seeing teams that consistently just can't seem to have any success. (Unless its the 49ers. I'm OK with it if its the 49ers.)

Myles Garrett will practice again, but pointed toward Sunday debut – The Athletic

Man, Garrett can not make those moves he made in college in the NFL. He has weak ankles and he won't last. My bet is the over/under on him being on IR again. We will have to get another pass rusher at some point when the Browns wise up and stop making decisions based on ESPN projections. Kizer turned out to be better then expected though if he can stay alive long enough to get good.

In the meantime, there is A LOT of chatter about Peyton Manning coming on board to straiten things out and get the house in order. No lie. I can't wait to see the shock and awe the day that is announced. I'm keeping a very close eye on it.

That would surprise me, but I would love to see it.

Welp, Kizer got benched. It was one of the most miserable showings in Browns history (saying a mouthful there). Garrett come away limping (50/50 shot he plays the next game). And it was Josh McCowan's first ever win in Browns stadium.

I was told the best receiver on the team today (Treggs), who has only been with the team a week or less, couldn't find the locker room before the game. He needed an escort.

Bring on Manning. The Mannings and Haslams have been close friends for more then 20 years.

There is a LOT of serious talk about Peyton Manning coming to the Browns now. It's very real. Haslam throwing the bank card at him and offering him a piece of the team (maybe 15%).

Still unsubstantiated, but all the insiders all talking about it.
