The Official make fun of the Cleveland Browns Thread

Not comparable by production but by the fact that both players had a target on their back since they both entered the league.

How did RGIII have a target on his back? Dude was praised from almost day 1, and especially after his rookie season.

McNabb I can buy having a target, but RGIII? No way.

Why did McNabb have a target? Because they didn't take Ricky W? I don't remember.

RGIII was treated like God's gift to rookie QBs. The only pressure was that they drafted 2 QBs.

I believe so.

I think the 2 QB thing was overblown. They needed 2 QBs (Grossman and Beck weren't very good options), so whether they drafted one or signed a veteran, it really wouldn't have mattered.

I really want RGIII to succeed.

Will be very interesting if the Browns do indeed draft another qb with their 2nd pick. I think they should trade down and give RGIII a fair shot

Even if they draft a QB, RG3 will be the starter this season (unless he's absolutely terrible).

Whether it is Griffin or if they draft another QB, one of those two lucky gentlemen will be the next "former quarterback of the Cleveland Browns" in two years or less.

Hue Jackson is the key to improved QB play. Would not give up on RGIII. He is a talented young man that needs what Hue will bring to the offense.

I think I missed the final word on this: Is Josh Gordon eligible to start playing again at the start of the season, or will he still be sitting out a number of games first?

Flash had a good first game back.

Josh Gordon of Cleveland Browns scores on 43-yard touchdown catch against Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After not playing in 27 of the past 32 regular-season games, Gordon's two catches for 87 yards and one touchdown provide the Browns with a sign that he might not have much rust as he attempts to come back.

Gordon came back for a ball that was slightly underthrown and, with the help of a disguised push of cornerback Brent Grimes, came down with a 43-yard touchdown catch.

He made a tremendous play," coach Hue Jackson said. "It was good just to get him back out there in the game and playing. He did some good things, and there's some things that we'll continue to improve on with him. But I thought it was a good start for him."
