Robinson Cano just got $240M from the Mariners at 31 years old. From a team that hasn't been top ten in payroll for years. Clayton Kershaw and Justin Verlander got $200M as freaking pitchers.

Baseball salaries are escalating incredibly quick with the TV contracts.

Trout is a 26 year old CF who is basically Willie Mays reincarnated. If he goes into the market, he will easily get $300M and I am willing to bet the bidding would go $350M. Hell I would't be shocked if it went to $400M
