I think more people could get behind CCM if he'd hire some new assistants. I just want CCM to be consistent. I'm not just talking about the wins. At times earlier this season it seemed like he didn't even want to coach, then he started feeling the heat and picked things up. I just wish he could coach like he has been this month all year.

I've been reading Iowa's board and they seemed pretty high on Stokes saying that he reminded them of Reggie Evans like what others on our board have compared him too.

It's crazy, in my first round of ignoring threads, I couldn't see a new post pop up for almost an hour after one of our losses because all the irrationals were posting in the irrational threads.

I'm really looking forward to the game. If we can play like we have been we'll win comfortably IMO. Hopefully Josh's shoulder is better. His offensive game hasn't been the same since that hard foul.

Yeah, didn't they only have 4 losses through most of the season, then lost 6 of 7 to close? That would be legitimate grounds for criticism IMO, just like when Martin got flack earlier this season when we were playing terribly.

Was listenning to sports radio talk show on the way home from work last night and they said "Rocky Top will beat Iowa and destroy UMass". Also, commented on how good Jordy Mac and Stokes are playing right now. GO VOLS!!!!!!!

If he shuts down Marble and keeps him under 10 then I really like our chances. Can't let them get hot from the 3 point line.

Apparently their defense fell off at the end of the year. It's a young team. I'm hoping they hit a wall and can't maintain the defensive intensity they could earlier in the year.

Yep, we've really gotta close out on three point shooters. Would love for JRich to get in Marble's head and throw him off his game. He's done it against some good scorers this year.

Yeah I think they were like 14-4 or something like that. One mentioned that we were suppose to play each other but we lost to UTEP and then they had their best game all year and beat them by 20+...another fan said that we lost because of the triangle 2 Floyd threw at us.

Which is true. Hard defense to prepare for when you aren't expecting it. Especially 2 games into the season.

I don't. At the end of the day, the head coach calls the plays and sets the gameplan. Do you really trust Zo to draw up an dead ball or out of timeout play when he has shown he can't do it for 3 years? What makes you think he is going to have a wake up call and change next year?

Yep, and Floyd hadn't shown it at all before that. Brilliant move by him. Our offense has actually gotten not terrible at breaking zones recently, but back at the beginning of the season it caused us a big problem.

If UTcannot pull out the checkbook and get a big time football coach, what do you think the chances of doing that to get a b-ball coach is?

and before all the haters pile on me, please remember that no matter how much we like Butch Jones, he was no where close to our first choice as a replacement for Dooley.

Also remember that when we hired Bruce Pearl, it was not a big time coaching hire either. It just turned out well.

We have a coach, who is a fine and decent man, who has not embarrassed us by cheating and lying like the previous coach. We are in the Big Dance and playing well. I being a UT Gradx2 appreciate that.

Go Vols!!!!!
