Great thread you all have here. Glad I stumbled into it. I’m thrilled for this season, primarily because of Bubba. I’m a Toyota guy, but I’ve followed him since trucks when I found out he was a UT fan. It’s been a while since I’ve had someone to truly pull for. His Facebook show is hilarious.

Sounds like the tandem draft was abandoned for safetyish reasons:

They claim safety reasons. I think it is ultimately because of fan backlash. For some reason fans prefer a big pack of cars or a ten car draft where everyone stays in line for 50 laps.
