Shows my age a bit now but reminded me a lot of the 1992 game. That game felt like the last team with the ball would win, and that's kind of how yesterday turned out.

In fact, it was the same score as 1992.

It would depend on how clusterf'ed the other conferences would get. I don't deny there would have to be some upsets and chaos.

Right now I can see both the Pac 12 and Big 12 Champions having 2 losses. I don't buy Washington goes undefeated, nor West Virginia. Houston loses a game they are out.

ACC champion will probably be undefeated or 1 loss. Same for Big 10 Champion. If we beat an undefeated Alabama in Atlanta, we'll jump quite a bit.

It's not impossible; it is highly improbable.

What would kill us IMO would be losing back to back with nobody left to play. The way they we have moved us around the polls, 5-0 and somehow only back to where we started, I don't think we could climb far enough even with a SEC Championship game win. Maybe 7% chance lol

Yeah, that's why it's mostly likely a pipe dream. There would have to be several pre-championship game weekend upsets just to move us up to get a shot.

We really need to split the next 2 to not worry about it.

Actually it wouldn't shock me that if we did somehow move up close enough to get a spot that Alabama would still get a spot too, simply because the amount of cluster that would need to happen would legit leave them in the Top 4.

Imagine if it worked out that we played them 3 times.

Would be pretty awesome, especially if we beat them the last 2 times, they can have the game in 2 weeks. Lol

I think my favorite type of posts at this place (and probably messageboards in general) are when people make posts like "Who cares?" and "Why is this a thread".

A person takes time to post in a thread just to tell eveyrone how much they don't care or how the thread is a waste of time; just hilarious the lack of awareness.
