The Official Off The Trump Train Thread

Not exactly. In the past sure but democrats weren't as anti business/American as they are now. Obama was the turning point. Markets kept tanking long after his election was done and the same will happen with the next democrat UNLESS they are a centrist. But the Orange Man Bad frothy mouthed rage infecting most dims running for office in 2020 will cause market fear. I mean, do you listen to what they say? Rich people bad. Corporations bad. Wealth bad. Which of those constant mantras espoused by current democrats makes you feel the markets will be ok?

You have an odd memory regarding the Obama years. Dow was up 109% during his presidency.

It got better..I never said it did. It kept tanking after his election and for almost a year later. Like I said...the markets realized he wasn't going to be able to do what he promised during his campaign (shocker!) and things started to right themselves.

Oh yeah...and all those markets that were better when Democrats where in charge. Well...if we use liberal logic...they are all technically Republicans now right? In fact Obama is the first democrat President...not Andrew Jackson..the guy who death marched Indians to reservations and stole there land. Nope!

Again, your memory is off. First year under trump was outperformed by first year under Obama. Same for second year comparisons. You don't want to compare Bush II

Oh my god. I have been talking about when a President gets elected and the market doing well or bad. For F###s sake.

edit

I know the markets did well under Obama. I had two years with returns over 50%! But that was just two years. Before it was lackluster and after his second term it was just kind of meh. Literally the day after Trump got elected my portfolio went on a year and a half streak of insane gains...the kind of sh!t that puts people on the path to becoming millionaires through investing.

If Hillary won markets would have tanked even though she admitted to saying one thing publicly to appease voters and actually doing the opposite behind closed doors. The next President after Trump, if its what goes for a normal Democrat today, aka anti America anti Wealth anti Business anti Prosperity Pro tax Pro wealth redistribution, the markets will tank on election day. Will they get better? Most likely yes once they realize the Obama Guantanamo effect is in place.

I compared 1st years because you said it tanked for more than a year. Not true. The problem is that the economic growth under trump hasn't been near as great as trump told you it was. And it wasn't near as bad under Obama as he told you it was either.

It's not how good you think trump is but how bad you think hillary is. I knew that already. Why else would you be defending Trump Business bankruptcies with some hillary bashing.

No, No, No linking Hillary to Trump’s bankruptcies. Despicable to dispacable. Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million won the EC. Hillary less disputable to Trump hard to imagine anyone more despicable than Hillary but Trump takes it by EC

I notice that you conveniently left out everything prior to 2009. It's why so many of us hate polls and fact proven by "statistics". Select the right boundary conditions and you can support just about any argument with "statistics". Climate change advocates are making out like bandits by arbitrarily choosing starting points.

Whatever happened to the GOP championing personal responsibility?

There is something wrong if a guy can keep declaring his companies bankrupt like this yet still brag about being a billionaire. He just runs everything into the ground and skips out on paying the tab.

He's such a con man.

So do lawyers win 100% of their cases? Do they still charge the client if they lose? Do you see any similarity between a business failing and a lawyer losing a case? What about a doctor? You think they give refunds if the patient dies or a procedure doesn't work?

Here ya go, sir.

This is very weak, Mick. Juxtaposing the known liabilities of Trump to the unelectable candidate of Hilary is neither a defense of Trump nor a bash of Hillary. Ok...maybe just a little bash. It is more an indictment on who campaigns and gets elected.

The humor is that the Democrat Socialists on this board find Trump to be so different. In reality he's the same heap of dung as the others. His turds are just arranged in a different pile.

Count the little dashes between the five year increments, and tell me about where the really steep rise begins. Hint: it looks like there are 20 dashes per five year span ... makes it like four dashes per year. It looks amazingly close to where reality sank in that Obama (along with a bunch of congressional dims) was going to be gone and the GOP had selected a candidate (not another wimp) who might actually put up a fight.
