I watched Beam closely last year and he has really good stuff. It’s still early, but I said a few days ago, don’t be surprised to see him push Burns this season.

Yes. We have been spoiled the last couple years with hitters who had a discerning eye and a great deal of patience. We also had an older, more mature, more experienced team. These kids have been itching, plus they probably feel the excitement of expectations. It will be interesting to see how they develop and adjust.

Beam has been the most impressive so far this weekend. Dollander and Burns had good outings but seemed to struggle to find the zone at times. Beam has been great entire game and has thrown a lot of strikes. Glad we have all 3 of them.
