I love this, man. My dad is my go to for everything in life. You’re sacrificing yourself to help a young neighbor. I know you probably love to do it, but it sounds Christ-like to me.

I know you're joking, Weezer, but just for the record (and any available VFLadies lurking)... I'm 110% hetero male (as is my young neighbor).

I love this, man. My dad is my go to for everything in life. You’re sacrificing yourself to help a young neighbor. I know you probably love to do it, but it sounds Christ-like to me.

People gotta take care of people (and you're right--scripture doesn't leave a lot of wriggle room on that). Some day I might be the one needing someone's help. Bureaucrats, NGOs, even sincere churches can't do what we can each do individually.

Like so many in his generation, he's reached adulthood with too much neuroticism and too few real-world skills and experiences. But he lives half-a-country away from his family, so someone needs to fill that father-grandfather gap. Otherwise, I truly wonder who's gonna create and parent the next generation?

And besides--"watching" a game by reading the game thread here is its own entertainment medium. I laughed waaaay more times after I got home, catching up on the game via y'all's posts, than I would have listening to it live! (...with apologies to Vince and John)
