My boy ended up with the grand slam ball and got it signed by Reece! Proud Dad moment!
That’s awesome! Reese Chapman is a better person than he is a ball player (and he’s an incredible ball player!). I will post a link to a recent interview that will blow you away.View attachment 726743

Dang. Fell asleep waitin' on the dryer, missed the start, now my neighbor needs me.
Fun catching up in the thread. Y'all run rule 'em!
Did she ask you to fix her sink?
It was kinda heartening to read that all assumed my neighbor was a lady. Alas, not a lass.I suggest you mow her lawn. At night.
I'm sure young dude would share his Xbox as long as @BruisedOrange brought his own "joystick".You got me with the XBox thing, I laffed.
I love this, man. My dad is my go to for everything in life. You’re sacrificing yourself to help a young neighbor. I know you probably love to do it, but it sounds Christ-like to me.It was kinda heartening to read that all assumed my neighbor was a lady. Alas, not a lass.
Just a young dude who's barely finding his way in the world, though I'm sure he could fix my X Box if I had one.
I just keep all my letters in one box together.
Eight grand slams from seven different batters before the start of conference play is just absurd.Ensley. Game 2 against Hofstra. 5th inning.

You do you. We don't judge.
People gotta take care of people (and you're right--scripture doesn't leave a lot of wriggle room on that). Some day I might be the one needing someone's help. Bureaucrats, NGOs, even sincere churches can't do what we can each do individually.I love this, man. My dad is my go to for everything in life. You’re sacrificing yourself to help a young neighbor. Invite your neighbor over to watch Vols baseball, the other stuff can go on his to do listI know you're joking, Weezer, but just for the record (and any available VFLadies lurking)... I'm 110% hetero male (as is my young neighbor).

Like so many in his generation, he's reached adulthood with too much neuroticism and too few real-world skills and experiences. But he lives half-a-country away from his family, so someone needs to fill that father-grandfather gap. Otherwise, I truly wonder who's gonna create and parent the next generation?

And besides--"watching" a game by reading the game thread here is its own entertainment medium. I laughed waaaay more times after I got home, catching up on the game via y'all's posts, than I would have listening to it live! (...with apologies to Vince and John)
