The Official Super Bowl XLIII Thread

Kind of a dud for three quarters, but the ending sure made up for it.

Not sure why that last play wasn't reviewed... looked like the ball was knocked loose before Warner's arm started going forward, but he was still able to push it forward.

Looked to me like he hit his arm but Kurt never lost control till after his arm was going forward on a second body hit.

Things definitely went for the Steelers in the penalty dept. tonight. There were some horrible calls for them.

By better team, I hope you mean the team that had the Refs in their pocket. The Arizona Cardinals got screwed over big time tonight,.

pitt outplayed the cards soundly for 3 quarters. yeah there were a few questionable calls, but the mistakes made by the cards ended up being more than costly for them at the end of the game. like bigdaddy said, the better team won.

all i could hear were women screaming for the entire fourth quarter behind the commentators. good lawd.

I agree they played poorly but you simply couldn't overcome the bad calls that were going against them.

i lost quite alot of respect for james harrison after that penalty. totally uncalled for

The refs are 1/3 of the game, the steelers won the other 2/3s and deserve the win. On to the big orange rebirth now. Going to be a long few months here.

I'd like to see it a few more times, but that was the impression I had from watching it... I would think even if my scenario took place that would still count as a pass since Warner did throw/push it forward somewhat.

Arizona had over 100 more yards of offense. Without the defensive TD the Steelers lose. Additionally, the Steelers were aided by over 100 yards of penalties. I think the Steelers were a better team, but it's hard to say they outplayed anyone.

It was shady, but if you held every player in the league to that standard, you wouldn't be able to watch because you hated most of the guys on the field.

Yeah it would've still been an incomplete pass in that scenario as well. I can't believe they looked at that obvious Holmes TD for 3 min but didn't review a questionable turnover in the last 5 seconds.

Officials cost cards the game end of story. I'm disgusted. On to the vols can't wait for NSD

The lack of review seems so fishy to me. I would have loved to have seen Fitzgerald with one last chance to snag a hail mary.
