You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shi te at quarterback right now. It doesn't seem like CBJ will be playing Dobbs or Ferguson so Tennessee's options are limited.

They moved the ball consistently and scored 17 first half points. We are averaging 1 yard per play and wouldn't have crossed midfield had they not turned it over.

I had my fill of excuses during the Dooley era.

The sloppy play, the inability to wrap up, the decision to start a true frosh QB in the Swamp as his first game...the coaches have to bear some responsibility for this.

I'm not saying "FAHR BUTCH!" But let's not act like he and his staff have no fault in this pitiful display.

Exactly. Why was Peterman still in the game? Lost some confidence in CBJ when Peterman was still in the game at that point. This experiment has completely backfired. With Worley we are at least tied right now.

The only possible upsides to Peterman are: (1) ability to run; and (2) slightly stronger arm. Number one was never going to pan out b/c Florida is not going to give up rushing yards to a kid like this. It was clear after the first downfield pass floated and was almost picked off that this kid didn't understand what he was doing. So, yeah. I'd have put Worley back in and tried to create something with crossing routes, screens and running from passing formations. There have been a few 5-yard runs up the gut. I'd have tried to create more of that. But you can do all that with Worley.

If this game shows you anything it should show you just how far we're behind the curve compared to other teams.

Most of the posters here screamed for Peterman, well they got it. Now they want to blame the coaches for trying to interject some energy into the offense.

This is going to be a bad season, like it or not. Not a whole lot anyone can do about it.
