The Official Tennesse vs. Charleston Thread - 2:00 EST - ESPN2

I feel like getting drunk. And I don't drink. I'm not watching anymore of this sh*t! (Until the Memphis game)

One of the games Pearl has to sit I'd love to see Pat Summitt coach a game. I know the NBA D league has a womans coach. She was the liveliest fan in the house.

I'm just going to be even angrier if we beat Memphis. A win shows that we don't give a **** about teams that don't have the name power. If we lose, it at least shows that we just really aren't that good.

Had no idea we were playing today...evidential the basketball team didn't either. Glad I was playing Back Ops during this beat down.

I just saw it on the bottom line of ESPN. I wanted to come here to make sure I saw correctly...

With that said, WHAT THE CRAP!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I have a young child and haven't felt comfortable enough to leave him with a sitter just so we can go to a sporting event. Today was our first since he was born.
I want my money back!
I'm with the folks saying this is no slump. Our team just isn't very good.

Its not the big suprise. We whacked some talented teams early, but the reality is that last year after the tournment we knew we had a lot of graduates to replace.

Goins was not a good passer last year.

Williams only really became a highlight during the tourney, and a random game here and there.

Hopson has improved his offense from last year, but he wasn't a dynamo defender ever.

Tobias Harris will be good, and if he wasn't surrounded by suck he'd probably be showing off like Sulligner is presently at Ohio St surrounded by a higher level of talent.

Tatum, I didn't know what to expect from him this year. But I'm happy with his energy level and scoring somewhat.

I figured we'd fight harder, and have a bunch of games close...but who the hell almost loses to UT Martin.

New years drunk post! GO NEW YEARS!

Our problems are simple. We have super athletes who can jump through the ceiling, but are very poor at shooting the ball. We get beat by smaller and less talented athletes, like Charleston, who can put the ball in the basket. They plug up the middle, dare us to take an outside shot, and when we get inside, put 3 on 1 to block or steal the ball. When we miss they have 3 inside to get rebounds against our taller, high jumping athletes.
Players like Williams can't even make layups because the opponent has so many bodies under the basket.
We beat some good teams before they figured all of this out. This is going to be a long year.
