The Official Tennessee @ #12 Georgia Game Thread, 12:00pm ET, ESPN

So just out of curiosity, how many of you who are criticizing the play calling, Peterman or whatever picked us to win this game? I went and looked at the pick the score thread and many of you picked UGA to handle us. So why are you complaining now? If you didn't expect us to be in the game in the first place, why complain about a game that our OL clearly costed us?

We're not any closer, until we start winning these games. Last year we actually took George into over time didn't we? How are we any closer?

When the game isn't over until the final series, instead of halftime, we're closer.

If you cant see improvement, I can't help you.

I told people I thought we had a 35% chance to win. Closer to 45%. If the game is in Knoxville, 60%.

I think we have a 75% chance of beating FL next week, but we better have our chin straps tight. Hope we get Pearson and Smith back.

I know this is VN and it's to be expected but Peterman is a Vol he took some hard shots out there and got back up. He's not the most talented but he's what we had to work with at the moment. He wasn't intentionally trying to do poorly. How about not having a hatefest on him.
Pretty sure a good % of VN will always be haters regardless of the player. Some will hang around and be true VOL fans into their senior years but many will shed their orange and pick another color from the rainbow....good riddance I say. The Big Orange is back so get on board or get off !!

It's not so much expecting a national championship; who is saying we will? It's that we fail to execute, especially after TOs. Bajakian is seriously questionable. Sometimes he looks like a genius, and other times he looks completely inept.

Look at what we are putting on the field. It's been explained over and over that they'll look like world beaters one minute and look lost the next. Just relax and enjoy watching them mature and turn in to what we know they are going to be. Improvement is evident every week.

I'm thinking so too

Bajakian won't do better against a better D than Florida

He fails to exploit the weaknesses in teams. We saw that with Vanderbilt last year

He will try to pound the ball against Florida's D line and not try to exploit that weak Florida secondary

He should probably watch how Kiffin called the Alabama/Florida game. Damn, can't believe I said that.

Maybe cause he was down, but he came out firing when Worley returned. I don't see him not throwing the ball. Worley is feeling it right now, even the OU game when he had time. The best chance of winning is with 14 throwing.

This was another tough loss to Georgia, and many may descend into pessimism now for the rest of the season, but despite some continuing areas of concern (QBs getting beaten up due to insufficient OL play; continuing baffling playcalling by Bajakian, no kick returns ever by Sutton, yet another demonstration of lack of QB depth of this team), there are still lots of reasons to feel hopeful about the continuing progress of this team:

1) Great play by Worley under pressure (important because he is under pressure a lot);
2) turnaround by Croom after key drops in OK game, today made a great TD catch and another great catch in 4th Qtr;
3) Hurd is becoming an SEC caliber running back, turning in his best performance yet;
4)Pig Howard back in the game, making a great TD catch;
5) Ethan Wolf is back from injury and is proving to be an outstanding TE;
6) Helm also makes a couple of key catches, including the PAT for 2 (we can actually convert two pointers now!);
7) D Barnett becoming a great DE for a true freshman;
8) Devrin Young finally making two good kick returns; we've needed this all year; Pickett making a decent return himself. Maybe Sutton should be relieved from return duties and focus on CB play where he excels;
9)Not sure about this one, but I thought I heard one of the announcers say GA only converted one 3rd down in the second half.

Given the condition of the rest of the SEC East, I think UT's odds of winning at least 4 SEC games and going to a bowl look better than they did a couple weeks ago. Vandy, KY, Mizzou and FL all look beatable, possibly even SC who only beat Vandy by 2 scores.

Didn't understand the offensive game plan. Wish we had stayed aggressive. It was working for us. I could understand if Worley threw a couple of picks.
