The Official Tennessee @ Alabama Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPNU

Part of the growth when only 4 guys in the 8-10 man rotation aren't first year players. I'm hoping to see them win another 3 or 4 and then maybe steal a game or 2 in the SEC tournament.

Really needed that A&M game at home, that one will be the "what if" game when the team looks back on this season without a doubt.
A&M was definitely the most frustrating.
I'm hoping the UK game will be the scrappiest win of the year, that or it's the one where everything clicks and UT wins by 30 😁

I cringe to think what we would be like without Vescovi. He’s doing great for a player that’s only been with the team for a month. Dudes a player
Last 5 games, while he hasn’t been shooting the ball that well, you have to appreciate how quickly Vescovi is improving his ball handling and playmaking. Over the last 5 games he is averaging 4.6 assists per game and only 1.6 turnovers per game. He has miles to go but given he has been with the team for only 5-6 weeks and is only 18 years old, and in a new environment....we are lucky to have him.

Great post. He is another that with our strength program he will not only be stronger but a little more explosive.

Yeah I had a flu shot. It's not the flu but it's some heavy duty crud.

That stuff is airborne; currently all over the Southeast. Some have coughed so hard a blood vessel burst and killed them. Be very careful, REST Lots of liquids and EAT . You can't fight that off without fuel. HOMEMADE Chicken soup or Beef Vegetable is good. Also, go to the DR; get some shots, Rocephin, or Doxycycline, and a steroid shot . You can't beat this stuff on your own. Get well soon!

Any win in conference on the road is a big deal. Comeback road wins are even sweeter.
They showed some fight. Hopefully, they can build from this. Saturdays game is huuuuge for the perception of this season.... and Barnes has had a knack for getting the best out of his team for the Cats.

Everyone not named Yves Pons and John Fulkerson shot 20 percent tonight.

Alabama really slowed the pace down for the final 10 minutes or so and it bit them. You could tell from the body language this game was over with five minutes left.

32 free throws lol bet a lot of pissed Bama fans today couldn't be happier. We really dominated the offensive boards and plus seven in turnovers got us a win when we shot horribly. At least we made 70 percent of the free throws. Great win much need Go Vols!!!!!

Hey I will take it. We need to find a way to shoot better than in the teens from beyond the arc but to out rebound them and get that team out of sorts like they did was great to see. I will eat that bowl of crow. Gladly

I had a great time in Tuscaloser last night with my kids. It was awesome how quickly the air left that gym when Tennessee started making their run. One thing I learned, Vescovi is a major flopper lol. He has perfected the art of deception.

Did Alabama slow it down or was that a result of Tennessee?

Ultimately Petty & Lewis are 1 & 3 in minutes played this season, and the style of up tempo pace Bama wants to play bit them this game.

About 8 or so left in the 1st half we had "figured it out" and chipped the lead down to 8. Came out hot in the 2nd half and closed the gap, don't think we ever let it get larger than 5 or so. Bama was tired (only played 8 guys and 3 fouled out) and they got sloppy on defense which lead to more fouls. Overall felt like a pretty fairly officiated game I thought Gaines had a couple on him that weren't fouls, but I'm sure a few Bama guys had a few on them that weren't fouls so it evened out.

But a team that wants to run who has starters leading the SEC in minutes played coming off a hard fought loss Saturday (another game where they faded down the stretch) we needed to hang in there and keep it close why Bama had the legs to run, once they slowed down we took over. Great win, love the fire of Uros too we need someone that shows they give a damn.
