Thank you. It’s literally the only reason I’m not as mad about the loss today lol.
I have a few comments that I'm sure aren't world changers, but I think they are worthy of your contemplation:
1. I hope you take the opportunity to appreciate the
process of moving and transitioning to having a new or different lifestyle. I think moving and owning a place is a special time in our lives even when things don't go as planned and you let those things just roll off you. I'd like to think you can or will laugh at whatever those annoying or frustrating things eventually and it becomes part of YOUR story.
2. There are nations where citizens aren't allowed to own property. They can sign a 99 year lease, but they'll never actually own it. YOU actually own that property now and that's pretty great imo.
3. This is for everybody: Unless you're a multimillionaire, go to and use your local food bank. That's what it's there for. Grocery prices are insane, we all know that, so for the love of God, take advantage of the food bank. If for no other reason, use the extra money you'll have and pay extra on the principal of your mortgage and to pay it off early or for something for your house or whatever. It's NOT just for out of work people. My parents send an actual truck load (a semi) when they get a call that a food bank is getting low or runs out.
Go to youtube and see what people get because it's stuff you'd buy anyway. On youtube find a news story about a food bank running out of food, and a food bank worker will ALWAYS they tell people to come back the next day or the next week or whatever and abracadabra, the food bank has had another delivery. A lot of very wealthy people like my dad, grew up without enough to eat, so it's his favorite form of philanthropy. The USA has endless food and people to pay for it, but the supply chain TO food banks is messed up and food banks don't handle spurts of usage very well so they put out the call to people who can quickly and easily pay for an extra 18 wheeler for delivery.
On the giving side, here's how that goes. My parents get a call. They make an electronic payment. A record of the electronic transaction is sent to our house. They give that to our accountant. He writes it off the top of their quarterly income taxes, so it costs parents
almost nothing because it's a write off and they'd much rather do that than pay income taxes that risks it being used for some endless war.
