It works other way Imo with the games being shortened to 7 innings. That would give the inferior team much more opportunity to sneak out 1 or both wins. This happened to us in first series last year when Mizzou swept us on Sunday in two 7 inning shortened games. When you are the better team you want to play more if possible. I am all for Vols playing 15 inning games this season. I like our chances….lol

Just checked Weather Underground for this afternoon and watching Weather Channel...Odds of getting tonight's game off are not good. I am seeing Thunderstorms off and on during the time the game is supposed to play out. The storms that went through here early morning were vicious with loads of lightning and wind. That is what Tuscaloosa will be dealing with at game time this evening. Only a couple hours on the daily forecast without rain or thunder on it. I've seen double headers go both ways. Home team always has the advantage if fans show up and you gotta know the fans in Bama do not like the VOLS. I'll be watching all the VOLS I can this weekend. As much as I don’t want a DH, it works in my favor. The kids are giving me a birthday party this evening and I’d really hate to dip out on them and retreat to the den, to watch the game during “my” party.

Cool story bro anectdote to illustrate this point. I'll try to keep it short.

Three decades ago, I'm like a 17 YO 5'7" (no ups, no basketball game possessing) white boy. (race here is important only because of the stereotypes that everyone observing this event possessed.)

I'm at Opryland (rip) with my family and a black Bahamian college girl who lived with us some summers because my mom kind of adopted her while she was here in the states for college. She brought her boyfriend (yes a black guy), the starting point guard for our college team.

You know the drill, hit the shot, win a bear. He and I both pony up a dollar and I throw up a bouncer that gets a shooters roll and finds the net! He throws up a beautiful shot that rims out. The look on his face, man! Of course he nothing but netted after paying his second dollar.

But me vs Steph Curry, one shot, right now, let's go. I have a chance. In a full game, I'm screwed.

And so is bama.

Exactly….lol…I can hang with Mike Trout or Michael Jordan if I am having my best day and the game is shortened to one pitch or one shot..ha
