After the win, the players literally paraded around the outfield wall giving high fives to the fans leaning over the wall. It looked like they just won a super regional.

That being said, that shows where the Vols are as a program. It’s a big deal to take UT down. Not so long ago it would have been expected to beat UT. No big deal. Now opposing fans dance in the streets because beating UT is considered an upset for many.

They will take care of business tomorrow.

The drunk frat boys are still talking crap 45 min after the game. I told one I see you witnessed your first baseball game ever tonight. I hated losing and hate it being to them in this environment but boys we’ve moved on and it’s business tomorrow while yall hang out in the parking lot treating the 2nd day of the opening weekend like you just punched a ticket to Omaha.

I think the home plate ump kept adjusting his strike zone, it affected both teams, felt like it got wider as the game went.

He was but that was the ump’s zone most of the night. However, he was inconsistent with it. The foul tip K on BB was atrocious.

Last post for the night, I never thought I’d live to see the day we became such a “baseball school” that we would travel to away games like it’s football. I’d guess we had close to 2k fans in the crowd tonight and absolutely owned the RF side of the field. Unbelievable showing this weekend for VolNation.

It felt like the 17 straight wins got in our heads a bit , we made several little league type errors that I’m sure V isn’t too thrilled with , it started early with runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and we don’t score , 3 errors , Beam not sharp and 2 runners out at 3rd trying to advance on balls to their right is horrible baserunning , hopefully today they’ll be locked in

CMO made a poor decision, KT was just a great defensive play by their SS. Our aggressive baserunning has worked the majority of the time. No one complains when we advance runners or score with aggressive baserunning like the KT example.
