And if they run CMo back and get the out on 2 throws or so between 3rd and home BB is at 3B and Ensley is on 1st. The assumption is that the rundown takes long enough to get the hitter to 2nd to equalize things. That’s not a guarantee. What’s better 2nd and 3rd 2 outs or 1st and 3rd 2 outs? The former is guaranteed if CMo holds, the latter is the risk you take by sending him.
