The Official Tennessee @ Arkansas Series Thread (4/14 8PM EST SEC NETWORK) (4/15 7PM EST SEC NET+) (4/16 3PM EST SEC NET+)

I understand your point but, It’s one partial, bad season, and we still have a lot of ⚾️. Tony’s success brought fan interest back to TN baseball, and to be honest, college baseball for many.

TN fans love baseball too so White would’ve gotten the deal done this yr or next, if it hadn’t been approved last yr.
This fanbase has a pretty low attention span for losing though. The only sport we support unconditionally is football.

they lose the Vandy series, you’ll be able to get in the door for Kentucky for $10

Sadly, we just aren’t very good. Really surprising given our starting pitching and the talent on this team. I know we lost a ton from last years team, and I never expected to be on the same plane as them, but I expected better than this.

Shocking that we may not make the postseason. Players and staff just haven’t got the job done. First time CTV has underachieved.

Now they can still turn it around but it better start now.
Your first paragraph sums it up. So many keep saying “y’all have been spoiled”, “should’ve expected to slide back”, “this isn’t the same team”. To most that meant a 16-14 to 19-11 type of SEC season. Not struggling to win 13 at this pace. Nobody with a sane mind expected 20+ SEC wins.

I don’t know why some you even watch. All you do is *** and moan and whine and cry and proclaim how horrible the team is. When you’re not calling our players middle schoolers or personally trashing them (shameful by the way - as many family and friends of them frequent this board) you’re rolling in the misery of something else.

You wanted Tony to change the lineup. He did. Then you wanted him to change it again. He did. You wanted a change in starting pitchers. You got it. You wanted a first round draft pick in Ahuna benched. You got it.

They’re trying. They’re changing things up. They’re searching for a way. We’ve played three top five teams (two on the road). If you don’t support them now don’t you dare support them in May or June. Tired of the b.s. I’m out for the day. Enjoy your misery and I’d ask you to take a long hard look at why you even watch to begin with.

My fellow Vol fan, emotions take over during a game. I agree with you 100% as baseball is a totally different game. I admit I get too emotional, esp during football season as every game counts.

I have a new perspective since my son knows and even friends with some of the student athletes. I met numerous players’ parents at Hoover last season and met others whose sons play football and basketball. I don’t know how they sit in the stands while hearing us fans chirp throughout the game. I guess the parent becomes immune to the criticism but I would struggle.

Tomorrow is a new day and it just takes one game to change the course of a season.
