The Official Tennessee @ Auburn Game Thread, 9:00pm ET, CSS

At times when he plays well. But when he slumps he does not lead. That goes for JS and TG. A leader is there no matter how he is personally playing. Being a team leader you have to be humble.

He hasn't slumped the second half of the season. Please don't tell me 18 points is slumping. I think this team is simple. It's not effort, and it's not attitude. Golden, McBee, and Richardson must be a threat to win games. McRae and Stokes will get their points and rebounds. Our guard play is weak and slow at times, and that effects our defense. This team really is simple. They play hard for CCM and that shows after being 11-10 at one point.

Let me get this straight. A leader has to be humble? What has Jordan Mcrae done that hasn't shown leadership? If he wasn't a leader he would have sulked and went after just getting points after barely hitting anything in the first half. He brought energy to the team in different ways. He's without a question our leader of the players that are currently playing.

Vols' Jarnell Stokes said he's going to the gym and shooting FTs when team gets back to Knoxville tonight. Not sleeping until he makes 100.

Disagree. McRae couldn't hit a shot tonight and was being very vocal and doing a good job getting others involved. Maymon was the leader, but Jordan has definitely taken over that role.

Being vocal doesn't always mean you are a leader. JM is the leader of this team but when he struggles he seems to disappear at times.

Magic, Zeke, MJ, Bird, LBJ, Wade, Barkley, and so on disagree that you have to be humble to lead a team. Matter of fact you be hard pressed to find 10 guys that were humble leaders, ummm KD, Nash, Kidd, that's about all I got.

Good. So should the rest of the team. Too many games are made or broke from the line. Why more coaches don't stress ft's as part of practice is beyond me.

Reggie White, Peyton Manning, Al Wilson, Dale Ellis, Ernie Grunfeld, Condridge Hollaway, Chris Lofton

You really think Lofton and Ellis were leaders? Great players yes, leaders not really. You know I could name 100 non humble leaders to you 6 humble leaders right? Saying someone has to be humble is laughable at best.

It's those teams record against each other. We'd be 2-1, Missouri 1-1, Bama 1-2 so we'd be the 4 Missouri 5 and Bama 6

Thank You, what would you rather have personally? the double bye would be nice but it would also be nice to get a win against one of the bottom teams in the SEC as long as Trae remembers we have a game.

Well I feel stupid for expecting us to lose this game. I'll step up and take my flogging now, guys.

Like I said at the beginning of this thread, I get too worried too easily. There wasn't much to fear tonight.

UT went 1-2 on the Plains with Pearl. Pearl is a better coach than Martin. Auburn sucks balls, but they did beat Bama. It's a win. Nothing more. If we had lost, it would've been fatal. They had to win. Hopefully, they'll play better against Mizzou. They'll have to if they're going to beat them.

He should. That's an embarrassment to go 1-10 from the FT line. It shows either you haven't practiced them enough, you're tired or you aren't focused.

Sooo you scurred about Missouri yet? :)

It's poor mechanics. He can focus all he wants and he can practice all he wants, but with his current mechanics, he'll never get above 60%.

Good hard fought win tonight for the boys, it was ugly but a win is a win. With all that said they will have to play way better to be victorious against Mizzou. I believe we will get the job done because they know they have got to win this game or they most likely will be watching the dance from the sideline. Heres to hoping Golden and Stokes bring their A games and Mcrae goes off. Mizzou is hot right now and playing some great ball, good thing they arent very good away from home.

It happens no big deal. You didn't make an outlandish statement and predict we would lose by 20 or anything.

Exactly. I'd like to think I'm respected around here as a solid poster. I usually don't say things so ridiculous. Hell, I never do.

I just think I overthought this game because of how it would have crippled our tourney hopes.

But hey, now we get to go home. And that is always great news.
