I'd like to see Martin work the officials over when we get a horrible call like that called against us and bail a team out like CoC got at the end of the 1st half. I'm beginning to think he doesn't have the refs respect yet and they'll do as they damn please.

Did Golden guard the 2 guard when we had such a good stretch of defending them or was I imagining that?

As soon as he was hired here fans from Missouri state came on here posting that you will never see him argue with officials. he only coaches at his players. I have to see thats true so far. I have yet to see him do anything else. whether thats a good thing or bad is up to everyones opinion. But We apparently knew what we were getting when he signed the papers to come here.

I personally get tired of watching coaches work the officials. Officials have a tough enough job without some coach yappin in their ear all night.

Martin needs to get more intensity on the sideline. the players and refs need to be yelled at more. Might spark some fire when they play lazy D and jack up bad contested shots.

If he can get his players to adjust night in and night out to the refs' calls then he can get away with that, but I've never seen a coach not work them over at some point. He'll find out just how much he'll get worked over in places like coRUPPt arena and Memorial Dump.

It works though if officials continue to be whistle happy. you have to find the median though but all the great coaches show emotion..Lets the officials know the game matters.

A player knows the coach is pissed anyway, regardless if he's jumping around or just staring. A stare is enough for the better coaches and players.

You don't do it all the time because it'll just go in one ear and out the other, but the call at the end of the half should've gotten Martin on their ass.

Good coaches know when to work them and when not to. You're not going to win every battle, but you better let them know you aren't going to get walked over every time either.

I don't either, but I wish he would at least show more emotion. Maybe we've been too use to seeing Pearl redfaced for the entire game after watching Houston, Green and Buzz. I liked watching fiery guys like O'Neill and Pearl.
