No. It distracts the pitcher from the task at hand which is to get the batter out.

Watch for that pattern at every level of baseball.

It's even worse with 2 outs because if you get the out by throwing pitches, the runners don't matter.

NOW they matter.

That sequence is on Tony V. smh at how dumb it all was/is.

The result is, we went from down 2-3, to 2-4 with runners on two bases and facing a new hitter.

Combs - K.

Grounder to 3B. Amick fires to 2B. Moore's foot comes off the bag. UT challenges and loses. UF batter thought he fouled it off his foot. UT did not challenge whether it was a foul ball off his foot.

*Runners on 2B and 1B with 1 out*

Grounder to 2B. Moore tags the runner from 1B.

*Runners on the corners with 2 outs*

Grounder up the middle. Moore makes a good play to get to the ball but can't get it to 1B in time. RBI INF base hit.

Combs's day is done after 25 pitches and 2 K's. Loy to the mound for UT.

*Runners on 2B and 1B with 2 outs*

Loy - K.

Gators lead 4-2. End of the 8th.

Loy is at 5 pitches and 1 K. UT pitchers have 8 K's on the day.

VOLS have 3 outs to get 2 runs.

People will wake up and give Arkansas credit for how good they actually are. Legit Cws title contender…heard ton of folks talking them down…they are damn good
