The Official Tennessee @ Florida Series Thread (Fri. May 3rd Game 1 3PM EST, Game 2 after SECNET+) (Sat. May 4th 6:30PM EST SECNET+)

Absolutely no reason not to have this in place.

No reason to allow instant replay to "get it right" without allowing tech to call balls and strikes. Minor league has been doing it a while; I haven't heard complaints about it. Why not remove human error and let the players decide. Umps, generally, suck. Even the ones that want to get it right. They miss calls, I get that, the point is, we don't have to have those missed calls, so why is it allowed? It certainly doesn't *add* to the game.
MLB is always stuck in the dinosaur age while all the other sports have been progressing. I love the sport of baseball the most and it infuriates me whenever something so simple as creating a universal strike zone is so hard for them to implement but sports like tennis can do a video review in a matter of seconds. I just want the best for the sport and a consistent strike zone would do everyone in baseball good.

Big game today. We can not afford a 1-3 week. I don’t want to be on bubble for hosting supers! Let’s get it done!
I think 1-3 week with 3 games on the road would probably move us down to #5 or #6. It helps that #4 got beat last night by GT

The Caglione/Seachrist matchup concerns me, combined with our lack of hitting here recently. Of course, we have the bats for the hitting to come back around again. Hopefully, they will in the rubber match.
Cags also has a +4 ERA and averages going around 5.1 innings per game. His pitching stats on the year aren’t nearly as impressive as media makes it to be

Peterson has an ERA of nearly 7 and Jameson is north of 4 as well. Those two struck us out 15 times yesterday. And McNellie and his 7+ ERA added another. Florida has a team ERA of over 6 and struck us out 29 times over the 2 games. I think this will be more about our bats than Cags’ arm. If we live up to being the best hitting team in the SEC, Cags will not shut us down. If we are flailing away (or watching balls right down the middle) and strike out twice per inning, he will.

I guess the HP umpire is unbothered by the conference's trackman review. He gave this a lot last night. View attachment 638522
There’s a reason why umpire Jeff Head never made it past AAA. He’s just not a great umpire. Very inconsistent strike zone and misses balls and strikes at too high a level. PitchTrack exposed him. Last night was yet another example.

Where do you see the Pitch Track results?
