Players pick up skills. Look at Richardson's transformation over his Vol career. Are 5* players not allowed to develop?

I agree but can you develop quickness and explosiveness? I don't think so. I'm not trying to knock him. Comparing him to Richardson is apples and oranges. Richardson was a defensive stopper early in his career with other players that could score on the team. Athletically they are different too. James looks like he can be a stronger player.

Need a consistent starting five-- there is no team chemistry. You can usually depend on JJJ, Fulky and frankly Pember but the rest... not happening.

Vescovi was brought in, and now Plavsic is eligible.......the roster is what it is. The players missing shots is not on Barnes....his system is getting them looks.

Barnes has started Gaines. He has given Pember, Johnson and Oliver more minutes to try and get someone “fresh” an opportunity to get the team going.....what else “could” Barnes do?

Not sure he’s gonna drop 37 in a game like Edwards can...but I expect James will have a few 20+ games before he’s done.

Fundamentally you can see how bad this offense is. Was great when you knew you’d be posting up Grant 25 times a game. Now it’s guys passing on the perimeter without even being square to the basket.

I expected this to be a rebuilding season but usually those are competitive teams that falter late.
