The Official Tennessee @ Georgia Game Thread, 8:00pm EST, ESPN3

Is there a bigger ballhog than Golden?

He took 17 shots and had 1 assist. The next most shots attempted by a player were 9. The guy taking 17 shots made 41.2 percent. The guy taking 9 shots made 55.6%.

Pass the ball?

17 shot attempts to 1 assist is an embarrassing ratio for a point guard. For any position really.

This was a game that UT should have won, but they just don't have the horses..There is no one u can go to when u need a basket, and our leading scorer (Golden) can not make the plans at the critical times of games, ie that Miss St turnover to end the game..I don't know what the guys do in practice that determines their playing time, but i know that our 5th yr senior (Tatum) is a turnover waiting to happen..He is not a defensive stopper, nor can u count on his for points, and i just don't see the reason he gets more playing time than anyone??? He had great potential as a freshman before he got hurt, but it is time to close the book on this chapter...If he is not the leader that can help u win close games, why not let the young guys make those stupid mistakes that he constantly makes...Time for him to be a situational player, ie foul trouble or something..Time to limit him, coach...

Martin doesn't know how to coach offense. We can't hit free-throws or lay-ups. Maymon has the potential to be awesome when he figures out how to hit baskets outside of him putting his entire hand threw the rim.

Well, if we are in position to hit free throws or lay-ups that sounds like Martin is coaching the offense pretty well.

Golden does realize that basketball is a team sport, right?

I don't care if he's the most improved player in the conference or not; I do NOT want Golden take the last shot or even touching the ball for long with less than a minute to go.

We have some of the worst guards in the SEC.
McBee got burned multiple times, Golden needed to work for a three at the end and not drive to the hoop.

Put tatum on the bench until he learns to want it. And keep him there until he shows it. Transition defense is just being lazy and out of position the guards need to get back quicker after the shot goes up. Only two threes out of what.....15? Maybe we are saving it for UConn.

This game goes squarely on CCM. He should have learned by now that Golden shouldn't have his hands on the ball inside a minute. Nothing good can come of it. Just keep on doing the same thing over and over and your going to keep getting the same result. For all the CCM lovers I don't get it. He isn't a good enough basketball coach for a school like Tennessee.

tennesse should feed the ball to the post to maymon and stokes everytime.the big white boy should have been fouled out with about 10 minutes left in the game.stokes would have postion and the guards wouldnt feed him the ball.i dont get it

Some day we will get a coach who knows to teach a freaking entry pass into the post when we have good post players. I've yet to ever seen it here at UT and it drives me absolutely bonkers. We have two guys now in Maymon and Stokes who simply can't be guarded by one player, yet they never see the ball late in games.

That's because we have guards who are clueless and do not know the art of an entry pass.

Who do you want the ball to go to in a zone on that last play? If your PG can't create something, please tell me which guard you want to create something for Maymon or Stokes.

Hard to get Stokes the ball when he's not in the game. Can someone tell me why he only played the last 26 seconds of OT. If CCM thinks Kenny Hall is better than I am truly concerned.

Skylar is the only one.

It was pretty evident that Stokes will be awesome in the future. He really did look tired toward the end but more conditioning should fix that and since he should technically still be in highschool that should be expected.

I am really wondering why Golden drove the lane when we were down by 3. Get in the game bro hitting a 2 isn't going to help and they obviously weren't going to foul him.

Starting to wonder why he is even on the team. I figured he'd at least be able to shoot like Kyle Korver since he really offers nothing else. He gives up size and athleticism to everyone he goes up against. He should at least be able to shoot but he isn't very good at that either. I really thought that was the whole reason he was brought in.

Terrible coaching error. Stokes was rolling in the 2nd half. Should have stuck with him.

I usually don't post much on bball. But I have to say this why in the hell wasn't Stokes in the game in OT? I know he came on after they were down 4 with 1 min left.Kid had 11 points and was a presence inside that they had to defend.
