The Official Tennessee vs. #2 Kentucky Game Thread, 12pm EST, ESPN

We wouldn't have been in that game if it weren't for him.

1 of every 10 games he may have this effect. Im hoping he gets the scoring first mentality under control and starts making plays for his other teammates..that would be more impressive but thats just my opinion not a bb coach

This is the issue...all the good is negated in the last 2 mins. It is happening over and over in different ways with Golden. It is a real concern.

Don't need a high BB IQ to figure that out.

I agree...getting exposed at that position time and time again. With game on the line you have to depend on the PG and he has been anything but dependable.

Who do we have that is better then Golden at the PG position? Nobody. If you think, Tyler Summit could do just as good as Golden, you need to quit watching basketball.

I played against Tyler Summit in high school. We beat his team by 14 and he had six turnovers in limited minutes and cussed the ref (but naturally got away with it).

If a team of short non-athletic white kids can turn him over then he sure isn't going to do anything against the Kentucky's (or even the Auburns) of the world.

All kidding and joking aside. The vols played a good game for about 30 minutes putting great pressure on Ky and runing the offense with great energy. However as has happened in most games they petered out for about 10 minutes and Ky got a lead that we could not overcome. As they have in every game against top teams this year, they lost their energy at the end a sign that they are not in shape to play 40 mins.

They seem in shape...but don't have the ability to play under the rim, but that is going to change now with Stokes.

Relying on 3 pointers to win from...Tyler McB, Golden, Swiper, or other is a low percentage strategy.

It was really more about keeping the energy up on rebounding getting 50 50 balls and shutting down Ky as they had for much of the game. At the end Ky just played harder than we did.

That is so much bull****.
