It’s the world we live in and NOT just Volnation. People get emotional during a sporting event, esp football and baseball. Go to any team’s message board (NFL, NCAAF, NCAAB) and you will find fans making similar comments you mentioned above.

It amazes me that there are fans who traveled from Tennessee to FREAKING CANADA. Almost as much as it does that there are people who live in Canada that are vol l fans.

I know he has a lot of expectations put on him because of his rating coming in, but I imagine we don't see him really ball out until next season. From the interviews I've watched since he got here, he seems to have a team mindset rather than a me first attitude. He said himself he didn't want to come in and make it about him. That he wanted to respect the older guys, which made me think he meant make them look good first since their time here is coming to an end and his is just beginning. He's very selfless compared to other players that have that status coming into college. We've heard the coaches say that they even have to remind him to shoot the ball, because he is so selfless. I don't think this season is going to be about him and I don't think he's going to live up to the expectations that some people have of him this season. I got my eye out for him, but at the same time knowing all these things about his mentality and thoughts so far...along with what the coaches have said about him...I'm not expecting him to dominate this year. Trying to just be patient and see how he develops. He really didn't get all that much practice with the team coming into their first game. One full week of practice is the best he got. He was around learning the plays and players he's with, but didn't have much time to put that into practice. Said the coaches kept him engaged before that. Still learning how everyone else plays around him and such too. Reason I think next season will be different is we won't have Turner or Bowden around. He's going to have a lot more responsibility in leading then. I won't rule out seeing him reach that level this season, but the season only just begun...he himself said the further we get into the season the better they'll be, him included. Once they start getting more experience against some of the tougher teams.
