Eh I’m not really upset about this. We are at least playing basketball again and get an extra day off before the real season starts. I could not care less about this tournament and am much more concerned with how we are playing. The last couple games efforts will keep us in a game with almost any team out there and that’s a vast difference from 3 weeks ago

Bama had just as many turnovers as us. This game was pretty even. Just came down to a couple possessions as most close games do.

The difference is forced turnovers vs unforced turnovers, not the number of turnovers.

100 percent blame the officiating. 3 or 4 straight offensive fouls, and putting them in the bonus for easy shots. The refs won that game not Bama. Absolutely garbage

The last play should have been an inbounds to Keon with a kick to vescovi for the 3. Bailey should have been standing out of bounds somewhere on the other end of the court.

It actually was a good coaching move to have Gaines in there to defend Jones. They were picking on Vescovi. It was unfortunate Gaines got fouled. I told my wife before he walked to the line there was no way he was going to make them.

Victor Bailey tries constantly to be the hero but he is a role player only and he doesn't know his role. He had 1 good game when he couldn't miss from the 3 point line. We needed Viscovi or Johnson to shoot but oh well another heartbreak for Vol fans. Getting tired of the expectations only to see it fall short on the court. Oh well maybe next year.

Refs gave Bama life when we were up. Yes we had turnovers but they were magnified and probably wouldn't have been as bad if the res didn't continue to give Bana momentum..

I mean it was a great call. He got a stop on their best player who had been dominating vescovi the last couple of possessions. Worked perfectly and just happened to be the one foul call we don’t want. It happens.

None of this is on Gaines. He made the stop and missed two FTs. Vescovi bricked two yesterday in a row. Someone who shoots like Shaq and plays 20 seconds a game is forced to tie a game in a tournament setting like that? I dont blame him at all. In addition, if we had Fulky we win this game.
