The Official Tennessee vs. #6 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30pm ET (10/05/13), CBS

I'm so angry I'm shaking right now. Worse officiating I've ever seen at the end there.

If we take these losses in stride, we can look back and see that our Vols could easily be 2-0 in the SEC with a few breaks here and there - no where near what a whole lot of people thought could be said.

When UT gets a full roster under Jones, it could be a very, very bright future!!!

This team grew up a lot tonight. Justin Worley played a great 2nd half. Our young WRs played well. Tough loss but if this team plays like this every week for the rest of the year we should all be very happy.

Can't blame refs or the announcers or anything else.

Howard made an unimaginably stupid play. Pure and simple.

Still a great effort by the team.

Not sure what game you were watching. Go back and look at that play in slow motion. He clearly had possession of the ball when his knee hit the ground at the 2 yard line. Should have been Tn ball at the 2. Look closely and you can see the indention of the ball in Howard's left hand and his knee was down.

Things I'm proud of: The team never gave up, coaches made halftime adjustments, coaches took chances, freshman played their a$$es off, special teams played well, and we had the #6 team beat. Don't get me wrong, I kicked a bucket of light bulbs because I was so pissed (esp. that personal foul flag), but our kids showed a lot of fight and heart.

say what you want but I guarantee you if GA had done the same thing they would have ruled it a TD and said he broke the plane before he lost the ball. GUARANTEED

Do we win of we were wearing orange? (not a serious question)

Awful way to loose, but atleast we can fight back

What do Kiffin, Dooley and Jones all have in common?

Heartbreaking losses.

Alabama, LSU, North Carolina, Georgia.

It's nice and all that we watch our players carried off the field against UAB and barely beat teams like Southern Alabama. I figured the team paid their dues against Wyoming but no, the team and fans still get to suffer more heartbreaking losses. A quality win would be nice. :(

Someone has it out for the Vols.

Seriously, help me out. I'm still scratching my head over that unnecessary roughness call with 20 seconds left. UGA player loses a helmet, and it's normally a 10 second runoff. I didn't see any roughness other than the usual line play. Was that a smokescreen to keep 10 more seconds on the clock, or am I just being a cynical homer?

This wasn't the coach "finding a way to lose". This was a damned bad break..........

This was no different than the losses to Alabama, LSU, UNC, etc the last few years. Always several bizarre plays that end up being the difference.

But hey, we lost close. woo-f'in-hoo

I think Pig lost control of the ball but was it really irrefutable evidence? The ball appeared to be in his hand as the nose crossed the goal line.

Great effort by team. Great effort by fans. Great environment. Wish we could have had the win, but I did see a team come together today. Proud of each man who wore the Orange (grey?) today. They gave it all for Tennessee.
