The Official Tennessee vs. Arkansas Game Thread, 8:00pm ET, ESPN3

17K for a Wed night is okay. We all know how fickle the locals are. Yeah, I would like to see 21K+ every night, and maybe it will happen sooner than later.

Just showed attendance....4th at 17K depressing to think we have 6K plus empty each game

Think about the attendance during those early home games before SEC play..we had terrible attendance the first 6 games of our home schedule, so being 4th now, is great...

meh we will probably make the NIT his first year with no key seniors and without our best player

i think we'll be fine

It wasn't a dig at Coach Anderson. He's proven what he can do. I saw what coach Martin did at Missouri State and was very impressed. Saw him play my alma mater his first year then saw what he did his last year before coming to UT

Winning 6 of 8 in league play not enough?
Not for a Wednesday night game against an opponent who has not won a road game...

I have said it before, TBA was built too large, it's a historical issue, even when the team is doing really well.

Stokes' smile after that dunk is classic. Not a mugging for the camera, #4 for ky type of posing, but a smile like he couldn't believe he just did it.

Top 5 in attendance annually not enough for people? I know alot of that is tickets sold, but we put alot of bodies in seats considering our record. Crowd noise however, could use some serious work.

I believe that's a facility issue as well, sure, the crowd could be louder, but TBA is so huge it takes ALOT of noise to fill up that volume to make it really noticeable.

Does the NIT still have lower seeded teams host games? If so Arkansas could be in business if they do end up in the NIT and get a decent seed.

Still an awesome facility when we have a winning team. When I was at UT when Pearl started the atmosphere was crazy. I know the new renovations angered some people since we lost the orange seats, but the updated version is clean looking!

Noise became an issue due to the surge in popularity of Tennessee basketball, it became and still is a bit of a social event. For example: Rupp.

TBA can and does get loud, it could certainly be better though.

The lifetime gaurenteed seats to the original TBA donors in the 100 sections doesn't help with making noise.
