Don't buy it... 5-7 for four years, and we are saving our plays? We are young, we are thin on both lines. They need the practice terribly and that is why we need to execute plays during games. Saving our plays...

I hear this bull**** every single year! Sorry I'm not buying it! We can't run the ball because our offensive line cannot push people off the line of scrimmage. It's that simple!

Hats off to ARK State, they are a pretty decent team and we needed this game to make us better and show our players that they need to step it up.

Except for a few drives, the defense looks pretty good.

Running game better but not where it needs to be.

Special teams are dysfunctional and that needs to be fixed ASAP!

Let's hope for the best on the injuries.

I'll take the win. After we gave up the quick 6 we held them pretty well. That little QB was a load. We have run the same play up the middle a lot. On to Norman.

Yeah I think they are doing all they can to win they look vanilla because that is their strength is throw quick slant passes and RB delay run and "option" run where he always hands it off except in 4 cases.

I predicted 7-5 at best for this team. I know what my expectations are, but that still doesnt keep me from being angry at clearly half-@ssed football. I dont mean the players as much as I mean the coaching. Some people get excited over a touchdown, like UT threw them a bone. I have realized that some fans just dont remember what good UT football looked like. I dont know if its an age thing or if they found a drug that numbed them to reality. In the end I dont care. I will continue carrying the torch for respectable play as long as I can.

No, I think it was mostly the injuries to Von, Wolf and Smith and we are very very thin and young as it is that is why it felt like a loss that we won the game but lost some players....although we do not know how long they may be gone

I think the coaching staff and the team kind of shut it down when the players kept getting injured. Kind of drew everything in and went conservative. Ark. State was a scrappy hard hitting team and it wasn't worth it to keep it open and risk more injuries. A team like that has nothing to lose and win medals by taking out our players. Just my opinion.

This. Not only were there trick plays but they are a unique offense in that it's almost like a triple option shotgun. if you look at all your top ten teams they usually don't schedule opponents with offenses like this because they can cause problems for the defense. I think our d did a great job today it was the offense that came out flat the second half.

I hope you are right. I just would never play like that. Your job is to destroy the cupcakes for the home crowd. Give them something to cheer for and be proud of.

But I get your point and if its true I respect it.

Kind of a mixed bag today. Honestly it's the perfect type of game to prepare you for the conference schedule, it didn't cost us a loss, Butch gets to jerk a knot in a few @#$, and we move on.

EDIT: AAAAANNNNDDDDD now we get to watch Ole Miss beat the living @#$# out of Vandy!!
