Did you watch the last 2 weeks? Hard to judge what we really have this week with it being UTC. We will have a really good idea after next week rather we gonna be able to win 3 or 4 more.

But they are losing to Kansas State..thats pretty bad.

This game doesn’t show much about JG. He has all the time he needs and isn’t having to read the defense much. We need to see him progress in reading the defense and going through his progressions. Not having to do that much today.

It's crazy that any of you feel like you can make any type of definitive statement regarding our backups with only 1 series each.

It’s reasonable to believe that if they can’t play well against Chatt then they won’t play well against the rest of the schedule

Shrout wasn’t close on 75% of his throws

Neither Shrout nor Maurer have ANY game experience to speak of. I can deal with either of them needing some time to "get up to speed". JG has been around the block more times than I'd like to count and is STILL making the same. dumb. mistakes.

JG is a great guy (or so I've heard, don't know him personally) but he simply doesn't have it right now. Nor did he have it at the end of last year. And he's only ever shown flashes that he is ever going to have it.

Truthfully he should be for a few reasons

Defense didn’t play well
QBs had a lot of miscues
There were some drops
Missed tackles
Misalignments
Should be more than 38-0

That one drive the defense looked awful.
I feel like the OL let off the steam on run blocking those last few drives
Several times JG was flushed out of the pocket....which he responded well with good passses.
Discipline on those penalties: Ignont, Smith, Doyle.

Wish we had someone other than Ignont or Banks at LB
Wish Thompson was back playing in secondary
Wish one of our RB’s had true breakaway speed like Swift at UGA
Wish our WR would hold their blocks longer downfield
Wish we could play GSU and BYU again with Bituli.
Wish we could save some of these points for UF.

Maybe that’s just what he needs.
Roll the pocket and let him play on one side since he can’t seem to play on a full field

Definitely. Wasn't his high school stats marred with lots of interceptions? I think JG's high school stats mirror how he plays college ball (not a ton of yards, high completion %) and i can see Shrout doing the same. Still would like to see more chances for Maurer but so far JG is making the best case for qb going forward.

1. Nice to see that the team still has a positive attitude after two hard losses. Would be easy to come out flat.

2. Henry T is gonna be a first round draft pick. Kid is good.

3. Having Bituli back cannot be understated. Dude is a leader and a hoss.

4. JG is slinging it today, and I hope it's a confidence builder for him.

5. Shrout has a cannon, and isnt afraid to throw, but still needs work. Interested to see what Maurer does. I'd like to feel good about having someone if JG goes down or implodes. These guys need reps.
