@Vol_Football: .@josh_dobbs1's 40-yard TD run is the longest TD run by a Vol QB since Alan Cockrell scored on a 43-yard rush vs. LSU on Oct. 8, 1983.
We always dog Butch as being out coached but I witnessed the great one Saban get his butt handed to him this afternoon. I mean you don't tell your team look we are trying this hail mary fg but you got to cover the guy if he runs it out.
Sure the Croom catch was lucky but on the flip side, Neal dropped a TD pass. A 1 pt win will suffice for this team starting a true freshman QB with nothing to play for other than pride.
Possibly. The point of my post was not to question CBJ rather to speculate how tough a job he has to rebuild TN.
I am a CBJ fan and sympathetic to the difficulty facing him.
UK yards/game average versus SEC: 258 yards/game.
High: 369 vs. Mizzou
Low: 170 vs. Bama
UK yards in 1st Half vs. UT: 193.
So far so good. I am curious to see what adjustments we make at the half though.
This! DD set the rebuliding process back another 3 years from where it was.I agree about a 1-point win (or any win) being good. However, the dropped pass is just symptomatic of our ability to choke and stumble and fall and screw up. We'll always find a way to NOT finish and win. When good teams slip up, they make plays later. We don't. We just screw up more later on.
I hope that this team comes out and finds a way to win tonight. It's horrible to see that I'm writing that . . ."find a way to win" against Kentucky.
We are really going to need this next group of recruits who are free from the stink of Derek Dooley and the loser culture that has taken hold in this program.
I hope that Dobbs comes out and shows something in the passing game this half. Some accurate throws all over the field. No INTs. As for the defense . . . let's just not embarrass ourselves in the second half. That's about all I could ask for out of them.
