Zo's seat is not hot, nor will it be this year.
Ever said anything you don't really mean in the heat of the moment? Have your emotions ever gotten the best of you?
If not, I'll leave now. But if you have, back the hell away from me. I'll leave when I want to.
Even though the fans won't admit it, the AD knows how losing a 1st team all sec player and best player for the season will affect a team.
It might be next year. He'll literally have no excuses next year. Maymon will be back, and we'll have Hubbs. I wanna say we only lose Hall and McRae.
No reason we can't compete for a conference title with that squad.
I honestly think we should be better this year. Because last year, and even before the season, THIS was the year. Now suddenly it's NEXT year. No more excuses. Just win.
Don't give up all hope on this year, we still have a legitimate shot at an NCAA birth. Bracketologists are saying top 4 of the SEC will get in, and if we can get our act together and play like we did against G'town and Witchita we may be able to sneak in.
Poor? We have 5 star Robert hubbs coming in and a borderline 150 player in Aj Davis who has Nba bloodlines and a high ceiling. That's not exactly poor.
Hubbs is great, I'm excited about AJ Davis but I have heard a lot of negative things about him. The PG we are bringing in, I wouldn't pick for my rec league team. This past yr we brought in Moore, Edwards, Reese....the only one of them that shows any promise is Reese and that is mainly bc we didn't expect anything from him.
Not so sure about Kentucky, they really seem to crumble under pressure. I know a lot of it can be attributed to youth but i think their confidence is really low and if we can get some momentum from the Alabama game we COULD pull it off
I think it's too early to call Moore a bust. He just isn't ready to play in his first year. Which, if you aren't Kentucky, is pretty normal for a freshman in a major conference. Edwards has been a mild disappointment, but I think he's been hurt. I don't like Landry but maybe he will surprise us.
I'm not giving up on any of them but in basketball, players usually show a little more than ours have. Next yr is our first borderline top 20 class and that is with having a stud like Hubbs committed. I'm very disappointed in his recruiting so far.....if it doesn't pick up when the guys he inherited graduate, we will really hit rock bottom.
