It’s not even being negative. The odds of hitting a home run in a 2-2 count AGAINST A NEW PITCHER with 2 outs and 2 on after sitting on your ass for two hours (or however long it ends up being) are basically 0

It favors us more than them given Andrew was nearing the end of his outing but USM pitcher could have went a complete game at his current pitch count. Definitely would rather be TN here than USM (other than the restart of CMO’s ab with 2 strikes).

Regardless of what you are going to “go ahead and let me” do, I don’t have any interest in doing it. I’m not even going to take the time to explain what the word “adage” means, as you obviously don’t know. That said, my primary issue with your first post is less your incorrect assumption and more the condescending tone of aiming it at people “who don’t understand the game”. In this particular instance, I’d bet on our hitters to come around on a 4.3 era changeup pitcher who burns out his 89 mph fastball pretty early. He wasn’t “dealing”. We’ve been signaling hot on the changeup into bad counts, and our batters are swinging at his one pitch the scout says to lay off. Anyway— Thanks for explaining how the game works. Consult Webster on “adage”. You’re misusing that too.

Well, I'll bite.

Adage: a short statement expressing a general truth.

"Weather delays are bad for the team with the better pitching performance."

So....I assume you want to argue it's not a general truth? Maybe ask the USM pitching coach how he feels about the delay.

As for "condescending," we frequently have posters on here who ask for explanations as to game nuance, as they are new to following the sport. As for the "negas," I guess they deserve a hefty dose of condescension.

I think it favors us in pitching we have 16 outs left in this game left and a pitching staff. It may not be this game but we get to reset our heads, we have a pitching advantage in this game and the next 2 because of depth, so we are good. I wish they would have finished the at bat but we didn't things can change with a pitching change and at some point in this series we will see the depth in pitching. The longer the delay I think the better for us. This game with the delays will be mental. Should be interesting and I maybe wrong, but who knows.

Nah, but a bit concerned. We’vewon several games where the offense struggled. Need to get good pitching and hold them at 4 and hopefully the usual suspects (Moore, Denton, Merritt) can heat up enough to pull it out. Would really help the confidence if we had more guys Making good contact
