It will be interesting to see how they handle the pressure of the moment today. There will be a full house expecting and badly wanting a number 2 seed after today. This team hasn't faced the pressure of expectations until today. Good luck and Go Big Orange.

Who do you think it is more important to contain? Jon Jenkins or Jeffrey Taylor? I dont see a way both can be shutdown but to win we need to limit one of them. Take them out of their comfort zone at least.

I say Jenkins. If you let him start hitting early it can be a loooong night. The thing with him is as hard as it is you gave to be in his jersey every step, and run him off the line.

Taylor is a hard cover to, he shoots over 50% from 3 in conference play, but his strength is driving and getting in the lane. Best thing with him is just try and force difficult shots and hope they aren't falling.

In all honesty, if Jenkins and Taylor are both hitting tough shots(like they did against ole miss) it is damn near impossible to beat them. You have to force tough looks and hope they don't hit them.

I think Taylor's better than Jenkins. If John Jenkins could drive worth anything he'd be a great player.

Bingo!

Jenkins is a lot like lofton that he is a step slow and doesn't have the quickness to be a great 2, but like lofton is an elite shooter.

Taylor is NBA material, but both at the college level ate around the same level of player. Both capable of averaging 15-18 a night.

I just worry about Jenkins with the 3's, if he get going its crazy the stuff he can hit.

I believe its more important to stop Taylor. Keeping them out of the lane is essential.

Hey bro, they ever find your friends that were missing?

They found the bodies of two more. So that makes three that were recovered. One is still missing, and obviously there is little hope that he remains alive. Thanks for asking, bud. :hi:

Taylor tears us up.. He is involved in every big play for them.. We have to slow his production down. Ezeli (sp?) is a beast too.

Candy has gone as Taylor has gone this year. Contain him or limit him and I like our chances. Jenkins will get his points. Just got to make his shots tough. Ezeli hasn't played as well as he did last year. We'll miss Hall and his 5 fouls in this game. Yemi will probably foul out. Goulborne and Tinsley pick up the slack a lot when Taylor and Jenkins are struggling some. So, Candy has plenty of scoring options. This is probably Stallings' most talented and deepest team that he will ever field. Candy will struggle next year big time so this is their one shining moment this year to get something done.

If we play sound defense and don't get careless with the ball, we can win. If we have 25 turnovers like last time it won't be close.

It is most important to shut down Taylor...period! He kills us for some reason every game that we play them. He is a big match-up problem for us. The focus of our defense has to be to shut him down. I will make the first prediction of this thread...hold Taylor to less than 15 points and we win the game! GO BIG ORANGE!!

We just need to make sure we know if we are switching on jenkins and taylor or not. I think it has to be one or the other and not a play by play basis. Miscommunication will mean open 3's.

I just got one thing to say about today's game. I don't say much as ya'll can tell by my number of posts lol but I think we stand a really good chance to take out the Commodes. If we play to our full potential like we have in the past then I don't see any reason why we can't walk out of TBA with a W. Go VOLS!!!!
