Jersey guy is the one that got the visit from Coach Vitello Sr. The funniest part was Kivett telling him that was enough after he’d chewed on the guy for a minute .

But overall, it was severely disappointing to see these idiots show up and keep chirping their own guys. The dugout was right to throw it back at him (although im sure a few people will be along shortly to criticize the dugout for not ignoring it.)

That said, the group around us decided we’d start policing it ourselves….

I'm glad some were confronted by true fans and I hope that meant something to the offenders. This behaviour is completely out of line and should not be tolerated.

I wanna know more about this. Not in a gossip kind of way, but it came up in the game thread and it was hard to tell if it was a person or a group. A few people agree, get rid of em, others said Tony shouldn’t have responded, but I wasn’t there…It’s pretty rare for a coach to get after the fans, especially one quoted as saying he wants a hornets nest.

Yesterday the breaking balls were not sharp from anyone in orange. Most didn’t want to trust their fastball and they hung breakers out over the plate. A&M abused them.

I’m beginning to think Vols may not have the depth we think they do. Snead & Loy have been pretty consistent outta the pen but SEC seems to have Franklin figured out. Others have been great one time, not very good the next. Really need Russell back & Doyle & Phillips to go 6-7 innings at least.

Guys I’d like to take responsibility for the loses yesterday. My family and I were on our way to Knoxville during game 2 and at LNS for all of game 3. Obviously Knoxville knew we were coming and punished our team accordingly…

On a serious note we were sitting directly behind the A&M dugout and their players are super just normal cool guys. I’m happy they were maybe able to get out of their rut, but not so happy that they spanked us in their revenge series.

I was wondering who did the out of turn on game day. Aside from the L's I hope it was a good family day. Now you have to make another trip and watch a W to assure there is no curse.

Geez….I miss one weekend series and all hades breaks out. Seriously, as CTV says you‘re either a Vol or not. You’re either for us or against us. Yelling against your team or putting down players is just ridiculous behavior. I’m embarrassed that some of these clowns claim to be Vol fans. They are bandwagon front runners who spew vitriol and show their absolute ignorance. When adversity hits, they attack their own. Pathetic!

I had “Swing the bat!” followed immediately (with the next batter) by “It’d be nice if you’d take a pitch every once in a while.” With a “Bring it down, Nate, everything’s high!” and “Get your head out of your butt” thrown in for good measure. The guy was clearly more knowledgeable than any of our coaches and more talented than any of our players; I guess he just had the day off from his own high-level coaching job.

I THINK it was all one person. There were more people making comments, but I think only one yelling loud enough for the players to hear. If it was more than one person yelling, I didn’t direct my wrath at enough people.

The thing that bothers me the most…there’s all kinds of kids in the park. Do we just teach them it’s okay to act that way? Rhetorical, of course.

On top, it was SO bad the HC feels the need, during the game to address it? WTF! At a home game?

Doesn’t sound like it was C’mon Blue and all the “you’re blind” jokes that go along with the game. C’mon people.

I wasn’t there, to my knowledge they didn’t address it on television and I don’t know if Wilkerson did or not. Fans aren’t a part of the show, think whistlers. It ain’t about you, it’s about the kids playing the game they love.

Being able to afford the tickets is not a license to berate the players and staff.

In all seriousness, you only need 12 sports** edit to be a member of the SEC (most members are well above this number). In this environment of tightening money if I were Mizzou I would strongly consider eliminating it.

Expansion is not up to us. Can’t do anything about that, it wasn’t that long ago that we were in the cellar with them. I recall my own cries to invest in baseball. If Missouri doesn’t wanna do so, that’s up to them. If they do decide to invest who is gonna be on their short list? That’s right.

I doubt theyd care that much. There are several schools absent from various sports outside of football and basketball.

Pivoting to a related topic, the House settlement could be a big moment for baseball tomorrow. I would not be surprised at all if in reaction to that settlement some northern based teams let it go as cost savings.
