The Official Thread of "Da Bears"

There's rumors that Roquan was driving drunk and wrecked his car and then fled the scene. I really hope it's not true though. It's funny that as Tennessee fans we have possibly the worst DLine in the country and have zero depth. Then as Bears fans we lose two of our starters on the line (one who is all-pro) and we end up having to face supposedly the best running team in the league and we end up holding them to under 50 rushing yards. The depth we have on defense is insane!
I wasted worry on how’d they deal with Cook. He ain’t been stacked up like that in forever! Wife wondered why I was more excited about that than the sacks. Told her to buy something pretty online and let me be happy. 😉

Trubisky suddenly looking decent.
This has me kind of worried. I figured Trubisky would start to resemble a QB down the stretch when it probably won't even matter and then Pace does something stupid and signs him past his rookie contract. I believe they'll pick up his 5th year option, but if they don't bring in a vet QB like Dalton, Mariota, Alex Smith if he plays again? and/or draft a 2nd round QB like Hurts or Fromm to give Trubisky a QB battle next year then I'll be extremely worried.

I do think Trubisky is way better than he shown earlier in the year though. Is he a franchise QB? I doubt it, but he can be serviceable if Nagy lets him do what he does best and that's scramble out of the pocket and either make throws or run the ball. He's not a pocket passer and Nagy tried like hell to make him one and it failed miserably.

Trubisky's been playing with a partially torn left labrum after the dislocation in late September. Being right handed the left shoulder leads the throwing motion. That affected his performance, he simply knew he could not make all of the throws the way they need to be made so he passed up some good opportunities. His coaches and the org knew, that's one reason he is getting another year. Next season will answer the question on him.

That reason didn’t keep his OC employed.

I actually think Trubisky can be a fine QB, which luckily for them if he can improve some they have enough around him to win games.

QB trade: Jacksonville is trading QB Nick Foles to Chicago for the Bears’ compensatory fourth-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Bears’ coaches such as Matt Nagy have worked with Foles in past and know him well.
