Still think he could have been if he wasn't a drug head. Sanchez's numbers should be better considering he has one of the best offensive lines and running games in the NFL. He completed 54% of his passes with 17tds and 13ints. You can argue that's adequate. What isn't adequate is averaging 6.5 ypa. Only Derek Anderson, Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen were lower.

If you're only going to average 6.5, you should complete a higher percentage than 54%(Bradford completed 60%) and be more efficient than 17-13(Bradford similar 18-15). If he ends up being good, that's great. As of now, he's barely average. He does nothing while the running game and defense carries him. That could change but if he ends up being good, it was certainly made easy for him.
